  1. Posts must be about making wine.:
  2. Image posts must be high quality in content and appearance.: Image posts are fine as long as they are good quality and spark discussion. They must be about wine making directly. The mods may remove low effort posts or content they feel is not good enough. If you have received a note to add a comment explaining the post - please do so or the Mods will remove it.
  3. Fruit wine images must have the recipe posted: Any image of a fruit wine MUST have the recipe posted. We are not a coloured bottle porn site. Let us know what the coloured bottle is.
  4. Amateurs - respect the pros: They have a wealth of knowledge even if they get a little prickly.
  5. Pros - respect the amateurs: They are enthusiastic and have not got the benefit of your experience and formal training. remember that they do not have access to certain chemicals, kit, tests or even language you use.
  6. Respect the mods...: You might not agree with them but they are working for the good of the sub.
  7. We love grape wine, we love fruit wine, we like mead and cider.: We want posts from wine made from grapes, fruits, flowers and foraged ingredients. Apples are fruit so cider is fine. We share a lot of skills with mead so that is fine too.
  8. No prison hooch, tea wine, fermented soft drinks, etc: Posts about fermented teas or fermenters full of ketchup and orange peels and prohibited. Fermented soft drinks or energy drinks are also prohibited. Post like that are welcome in r/prisonhooch. Wines in this sub should be based on fruit, fruit juice, juice concentrate, honey and in some limited cases, vegetables such as tomatoes.
  9. No memes: Ever!
