- Properly mark your posts as solved.: Reply !solved to the first comment that finds the word/phrase you are looking for. A "solved" flair will then automatically be applied to your post, and one karma awarded to the user who solved the post.
- Top-level comments must be genuine attempts to find the word or phrase.: Clarifying questions in service of finding the word are allowed. Jokes, sarcasm, or other such off-topic top-level comments will be removed.

- No ChatGPT/AI: ChatGPT/AI generated content is not allowed.
- Long lists/thesaurus dumping: Top-comments suggesting multiple, and even many words are allowed. However, comments dumping extensive lists of words that resemble thesaurus copypasta or ChatGPT/AI prompts may be removed.
- Report (and don't engage with) rule-breaking submissions: Please help us foster a constructive, thriving community by reporting submissions that break r/whatstheword's or Reddit's rules so the mods can respond. User responses to rule-breaking submissions will be removed.
