Subreddit Rules
  1. Posts should be wedding-related: All posts must be wedding related, either yours or a wedding you are/were part of. Topics about wedding/engagement rings should be directed to r/engagementrings, and guest attire questions should go to r/weddingattireapproval.
  2. No promotional content: This is intended to be a sub free from promotion. Business accounts, Youtube/Instagram/Tiktok accounts, Facebook groups, Discord servers, private websites, self-promotion, market research, surveys, feasibility studies, vote requests, wedding videos, giveaways, or sales of any kind are not permitted. This rule includes posts without links, and posts and comments from corporate accounts.
  3. There is a zero tolerance policy, and we will ban at first violation**
  4. Be nice and respectful.: Constructive criticism and discussion is allowed; inflammatory comments/posts, bullying of any kind and shaming others is not allowed. This includes weddings held during the pandemic, covid-19 restrictions are not an exemption to this rule - there are no loopholes.
  5. Questions about attire not permitted: This sub is not appropriate for questions on wedding attire. Please direct that to r/weddingattireapproval, a specific sub just for this kind of question. Wedding dress posts should be posted on r/WeddingDressTips. Thank you!
  6. Photos must have a caption: All photos must have a caption. Add some detail about where and when, who is in the image, why it's important, why you wanted to share, any special details about the event, etc.
  7. Do not post weddings that are not yours, or faces of guests.
  8. Questions about specific locations are not permitted: Questions about specific locations are better for location-specific subs. For honeymoons, ask in a travel sub for the country/state you have in mine. For venue locations, try the regional sub.
  9. If you are looking for answers on administrative questions (name change, who can officiate, how long it takes, how much it costs), please call the clerk at the city/town in which you are going to be married.
