Subreddit Rules
  1. Dont Be A Dick: Just don’t. This includes personal attacks/harassment directed towards users or anyone in the theatre community.
  2. No Porn: No. Porn.
  3. Promotional Posts on Thursdays: Please limit any promotional posts (including for products, software projects, "getting ideas for my new tool", "looking for testers", etc) to Thursdays, and use the "promotional" flair for those posts.
  4. AI Disclosure Required: Any posts promoting a software project (even if it's not yet for sale, even if it's just for testing) must include a disclosure of AI/LLM use, whether within the tool itself or during the coding of it. They must include a disclosure, even if that disclosure is to say that none was used.
  5. Promotional Comments Should Be Limited: If you're suggesting a product or service in a comment as a response to a relevant post, please disclose if you have a financial interest in said product or service. Make sure to mix your promotional comments with other community engagement so you don't become seen as spammy. (Also be aware of reddit's sitewide spam filters.)
  6. Job Postings Require Wage Info: If you're posting about a job offer, you need to include some information about the wage offered and time expected. Also the post should indicate who the potential employer and what the general location would be.
  7. No Dangerous Advice: Be very conservative when giving advice about potentially dangerous topics like electricity, rigging, pyro, fire alarm systems, etc. The topics are not prohibited but specific advice should be left to professionals in the real world and comments about them are more likely to be removed.
  8. Use Descriptive Titles: Make sure the title of your post is useful enough so that people browsing the subreddit can decide if it's a topic they want to participate in. "Question" or "need help" isn't enough. "QLab routing question" or "how does a robospot work?" is way better.
