  1. Posts Need to Ask for Book Suggestions / Comments need to suggest books: We are here to help people find ***books*** they will like and be interested in reading. Posts should ask for book suggestions. Comments should give book recommendations.
  2. We are NOT a place for general book or reading discussions/questions, or to give advice or refer people other types of media or resources beyond actual book titles and recommendations.
  3. Spoilers, NSFW, Trigger Warnings: To keep this a safer place, please use flair and appropriate tags! When posting spoilers, requests with obvious triggers, or NSFW content use appropriate tags and flairs.
  4. Please also be mindful of your language and not be overly graphic or offensive, regardless of tags/flairs.
  5. Posts without these considerations will be removed.
  6. Low effort/low quality requests: Posts should be sincere, with some effort put into them, and not be overly broad or recently/frequently asked (use the search.) Include *specifics* about what you are looking to read, or something about you as a person if you do not know what you may enjoy (age, gender, region of the world, past fave genres/titles of fave book/tv/movies/games, hobbies, etc.)
  7. Example: “What’s your favorite book?” and the like is more of a book discussion/too broad and has historically been asked almost daily.
  8. No "Should I read..."
  9. posts asking if you should read certain title(s), editions, author(s), where to start with a particular author’s oeuvre, or to choose from a list of books.
  10. Instead, ask the community to suggest you new titles and authors. Hint: try asking “suggest me a book about…”

  15. Trolling, Uncivil/Unkind, Insincere, Bigoted, Judgemental actions, or Unsolicited Advice: Let's keep the focus on making this a positive space for people to get ***book*** suggestions. Be kind, sincere, and civil in your interactions.
