- Low effort/low quality requests: Posts should be sincere, with some effort put into them, and not be overly broad or recently/frequently asked (use the search.) Include *specifics* about what you are looking to read, or something about you as a person if you do not know what you may enjoy (age, gender, region of the world, past fave genres/titles of fave book/tv/movies/games, hobbies, etc.)
- Example: “What’s your favorite book?” and the like is more of a book discussion/too broad and has historically been asked almost daily.
- No "Should I read..."
- posts asking if you should read certain title(s), editions, author(s), where to start with a particular author’s oeuvre, or to choose from a list of books.
- Instead, ask the community to suggest you new titles and authors. Hint: try asking “suggest me a book about…”
