- Conduct: Participants here are expected to behave politely, reasonably, and maturely.
- Attacks, bigotry, and abusive conduct are unwelcome, as is 'trolling' as defined by moderation.
- The expectation of 'politeness' is not a shield for baiting - it is not a game of brinksmanship, and provoking someone without saying A Bad Thing is still provoking someone. On the other hand, 'they provoked me' isn't necessarily an excuse.

Sociology may address conflicts directly, or indirectly, through topics/content central to them; sociological content of this sort may be appropriate, but non-sociological content is not legitimized by proxy or merely by including valid research.
- Arguments revisiting the conflict drown out sociological discussions of it or its topics. We'll protect the latter at the expense of the former as needed.
- Spam or Promotion: Please do not use our community as a venue to get a business, project, or person 'ahead'; we're not a place for personal blogs, YouTube channels, homework-help or tutoring services, ... etc. to promote themselves.
