- "Bad Actors": We reserve the right to remove any post, ban or suspend any user. Skirting rules or involvement in subs known brigading or for any of the above can result in action. User histories can be used in making decisions for meeting community standards.
- On-topic content limit submissions to San Diego area topics, or excessive posts (ie flooding): Please keep posts on-topic, so to do so, limit posts to San Diego and SD County related topics. Statewide or global topics that affect us here locally *are allowed* but they must clearly link to and relate to San Diego.
- Please keep it reasonable, Flooding the sub with repeat or same topic posts will be removed @ mods discretion.

- Social political agenda's extremists & those accounts from those not from our area will be banned.
- We encourage people using their free speech responsibly. Physical protests must be well organized w/ a known group we can verify.
- Modmail us if questions
- Must be verified by the mods.: AMA's, Studies, fundraising * organized actions All Must be submitted to the mods [(via the modmail)](https://www.reddit.com/message/compose/?to=/r/sandiego) for review & verification prior to posting to the sub.
- Missing Persons:** Must have a police report/case number + department where it as filed provided to the mods (via modmail) We'll verify & approve the missing persons ASAP & help to get the word out!
- Our only concern here is to prevent fraud, abuse & to protect our subscribers.
- Low to Negative Karma & New Accounts.: Due to Trolls & Bad actors; "Low - Negative Karma" accounts, "throw-aways or those with "scrubbed histories", Low CQS/ CC can be blocked, banned or muted by the automod.
- In short, we've enabled reddit karma to mean something. It's Democracy your fellow redditors vote on you.

- Bots & "fake" accounts will be nuked.

It does no good if people can't read the what you're talking about or verify your sources. Lengthy articles should also include a summery (LTDR) from the OP to facilitate conversations.
- Accounts caught shilling to these or other sites (youtube channel$) Sponsored content are in violation of advertising rules & subject to bans that might include future site blocking (see rule #4)
- No personal or identifiable information.: [Re: Personal Information.](https://www.redditinc.com/policies/content-policy) Posting personal information about any person not part of the public record, ID, photo, license plate or any other means of personal identification is a no-no.
- Exception** Missing persons fliers must be submitted & verified with the mods along with a police case number (Dept where filed) so that the mods can verify and approve.
- We want to help MIA's**. (Our only concern is to prevent abuse /misuse)
- Photos should be good quality, no spam, no meta.: Photos are to be high quality, composition, skill and relating to the area. Recurring theme images (yes, we get nice sunsets - we know) but some may be removed (pruned) if the sub becomes visually unbalanced (at the mods desecration)

- note: all submitted images may be crossposted to r/SanDiego_Photography as well as it's a dedicated sub for the cities photographic interests.
- Content mining, polling & market research: Do not perform content , data mining, polls or crowdsourc, research in the guise of questions w/ intention of republishing content (especially for profit!) is a no-no. News media can source stories from the sub only upon proper declaration & the condition of the sub (reddit r/san diego) being referenced as source of the story w/mod approval.

- Pro-Sports & Gaming content.: There are dedicated subs for all pro-sports and games these topics should be posted there. r/SanDiego_Sports has links
