- No Unicorn Hunting / Harems / Other Harmful Polyam: Posts and comments that elevate, encourage or in anyway defend unicorn hunting (an all or nothing unit couple dating a partner who must date both or leave the relationship), Harems (only one person dates multiple people who cannot pursue their own multiple relationships), or other harmful polyam practices like OPP/OVP (one penis/one vagina policies) will be removed. Incest and incest adjacent posts will be removed. Posts involving the grooming of minors by adults will be removed.
- No Personals, No Nudes, No Solicitation, No Research, No requests for DMs: Personal ads and the like are not allowed. If your post looks anything like a personals ad, it will be removed. Same with commenting anywhere attempting to do the same.
- Hitting on posters is not allowed. Likewise, no requests for DMs.
- If your user profile includes professional links, your posts and comments may be removed regardless of content.

- Offers of DM’s or requests for DM’s : We of course cannot make a rule that no member of this sub can ever suggest taking the convo off the subreddit.

- What we will do is say that we will not facilitate, support or approve requests or offers of DM’s, under many circumstances.

- This Sub And Minors : While we absolutely think that polyam is safe for teens, Reddit is not. Especially this corner, which is heavily trolled and filled with some pretty unsavory, sometimes predatory folks.
- We highly suggest that you head over to https://www.scarleteen.com, which is much safer, and designed just for teens. They have trained volunteers and a lot of resources about all sorts of aspects of sexual health, and relationships, not just polyam.
- If you need to post, please contact the mod team.
- No Trolling/Concern Trolling: Of course trolling isn't allowed. First time, no warning ban.
- If you belong to subreddits that encourage brigading and trolling, you may be banned.
- Concern trolling is a no-warning ban.
- Outlandish and inflammatory posts and behavior will be considered trolling
- Concern trolling includes, but not limited to: derailing of flagged advice and support posts, and posting under the guise of "concern" or "just trying to help."

- Bigotry and Intolerance: Absolutely no bigotry, or intolerance.
- This includes (but is not limited to) attacks on anyone's gender or sexual identity, racism, sexism, slut shaming, poly-shaming, ableism mocking, and victim blaming, erasure or dismissal of marginalized people.
- Posts and comments are removed for use of slurs and for personal attacks.
- First offense may be a warning, but depending on the severity and the user's history in the subreddit, it may be an immediate ban. Second offense is a guaranteed ban.

- This includes the good neighbor policy, ban evasion, and harassment.
- Ban evasion includes contacting mods under an alt. We use a Reddit auto-mod tool to detect ban evaders.
- Banning is permanent, and not subject to appeal on a no-warning basis.
- The good neighbor policy means that we won’t brigade, or use this forum to mock another sub.
- No harassment includes unwelcome or harassing DM’s.
- There is no “P” in the LGBTQIA+: There are gay, cis, het, asexual, allosexual, bi, intersex, straight, trans and non-binary people who identify as polyam, to name a few.
- Polyam is an identity, but it not exclusively a queer identity.
- The discussion around *if* polyam should be included in the LGBTQIA+ should be hosted elsewhere, in queer centered spaces. It is a discussion centered on queer people, and deserves respectful, queer centered discourse.
- Don't Be a Jerk: This rule should be self-explanatory, but in case it isn't: being aggressive towards other posters and causing irrelevant arguments may cause your comments to be removed, and if you continue it may end in a ban.
