- No Self Promotion. Low-effort/karma farm type posts will be removed
- posts that exist solely as self promotion/karma farm. Sharing your work on OctoPrint, or your OctoPrint customizations is ok. Example of bad posts would be "here's my time-lapse!" or "got OctoPrint setup and ready to print"
- Developed a plugin? Created custom layouts? Those things are fine. We love to see them!
- Search before posting questions: Many questions are very common, and come up over and over each day. Please make an attempt to use the search if you are asking a question.
- Your post will not be removed, (unless it violates
- 2), but it would make everyone happier to see less repetition.
- Posts must be directly about OctoPrint: Posts should be about OctoPrint, and OctoPrint should be at the core of the posts subject matter.
- Do not post things about 3D printing just because the thing happens to use OctoPrint.
- Toxicity is a bannable offense: Examples include being condescending, bullying, verbal attacks, name-calling, etc...
- Repeated offenses of this rule will get you banned at the moderators discretion.
- Multi-Cultural awareness is a must.: This is a multi-cultural community, and english is not everyone's native language. Seek to understand questions, and have patience.
- This goes without saying, but any pattern of abusiveness towards specific cultural/gender or other characteristics will be a bannable offense.
- (We haven't had problems with this yet. Everyone has been great to each other so far!)
