Subreddit Rules
  1. NO GEAR POSTS - YOU WILL BE BANNED: Any gear discussion belongs in the Megathread on the front page of our sub. Any posts not in the megathread will be removed. This includes "which guitar should I buy," "why does my pedal sound like this," "is my action too high?" etc.
  2. Violations will result in a temporary ban.
  3. No Performances, Backing Tracks or Tab/Transcription Requests!: Performances belong in /r/PlayingGuitar, not here (except Feedback Fridays). A performance with tabs linked in a comment is still a performance, and is not considered a lesson.
  4. Feedback Fridays: Feedback requests (including performances or *any* videos of you playing) are only allowed on Fridays (US Central Time)!
  5. No advertising.: This subreddit is about free resources for learning guitar. Your submission will be removed if its main purpose is to get money. The same goes for Kickstarter pages, links to your YouTube channel (as opposed to a specific lesson) etc
  6. more than 10% of your participation on the subreddit may be promoting your own free materials. *No "Free Trial Lessons"
  7. Lessons must be Lessons: Lessons must actually contain teaching. A video of a performance that happens to include tabs is not considered teaching.
  8. Don't spam.: Teachers should not submit more than one of their own videos or blog posts per week. Post your own stuff sparingly, and show us only the very best you can do. We're all able to find your blog or channel if we want to see more.
  9. All posts must be relevant: All posts must be either a lesson, subreddit-relevant question about playing guitar, or a Feedback Friday feedback request.
  10. No apps/websites you built.: Sharing of guitar related apps/websites you created (or in general) is only allowed when directly relevant as a response to a question or need.
  11. No AI: All shared content should be human-created.
  12. Be Awesome to each other: Just be respectful and kind to everyone!
