- Memes and Shitposts Only: Memes or shitposts, either original or reposts, only.
- Videos are welcome, as long as they fit the specifications above.
- Any meaningful conversations will be directed to r/goth and any fashion posts to r/GothFashion.
- No Reposts of Overused Memes: There are certain memes which we have seen a thousand times, whether it's the same format and different words, or not. A short list includes:
- Brightly coloured/pusheen sock inside of a platform boot * Anything Addams Family * McGoth * Colourful coat hangers in an all black wardrobe * "Thank you for the dark music we love" "Not you" *insert a unfavourable musician* * Goths in summer If you are going to post, please ensure it's either not been seen too many times before and/or it's original.
- No Selfies: Get an Instagram account or go post in an appropriate subreddit for that. I'm looking at you, OnlyFans spammers.
- No Sexualisation / Objectification of Goths: We mean it
- BTGGF, drooling posts, or anything of the sort. Go leghumping somewhere else, there are plenty of other subs on Reddit that treat goths as sex objects where you can go get your fap on.
- This rule also goes for pretty much anything mentioning a "goth/girlfriend". Just don't post them.
- No Misinformation: The subculture has a well documented and defined 40 year long history, so please be sure to not spread any misinformation.
- What you personally *think* goth is may be different to what it *actually* is - so please make distinct between personal experiences and history. We have no problem with what it means to you individually, but we'd rather it be clear to newbies, baby bats, outsiders, or anyone willing to learn.
- No Loaded Posts, Comments or Threads: Don't post loaded questions with the intent to start an argument, fight or debate, including references to past threads.
- Angry-posting because your post, comment, whatever has been removed will, obviously, be removed, too.
- Your account may then be banned temp/perm, muted from the modmail or reported to the admin if you ban evade.
- No AI Clanker Garbage: Come on, do your own homework!
