This is to discourage people from attempting to locate a post, comment, and/or user to brigade. Only partially censored usernames or sub names are not allowed and the post will be removed. **Note that this now includes posts and comments from inside this sub.**
- No Ticker/emoji spam, shilling, off-topic, or low effort: 1) Pointless spam promoting stocks will be removed and may result in a ban – this is not an ape sub. 2) We rarely need to see a stock chart screenshot on its own. Everyone knows. Make a meme. Make an effort. 3) If it's not meme stock related it probably doesn't belong here. This is especially true for twitter posts from meme stock characters - you can follow them on twitter if you want to see everything they post there. Ape responses to twitter posts are far more appropriate.
- Ape Brigades: All rules are suspended in the event of ape brigades, which is for purposes of this sub defined as two or more apes attempting to subvert the narrative of this sub. Do not do your typical LARPer "oh have you heard of GME?" "Oh, is that the stock with..." shit in this subreddit, you will be banned. Mercilessly. Do not flood the sub when the stock is up 10%. You will be banned. Mercilessly.
- If you report one ape posting a comment you will be reported for reporting abuse.
- Financial Discussion is Limited to the Lounge. Submissions are for Memes and Loss/gainporn: This rule exists because in the early days of the sub, people were doing nothing but spamming posts about “Please explain why the MOASS can't happen.” Discussion may occur within the thread, but may not be the main purpose of the thread. This rule is interpreted loosely.
- This Subreddit has a Near-Zero Tolerance for Toxicity – Including Jokes About Suicide and Ableism: Toxicity is a challenging topic to define, but includes (but is not limited to) racism, ableism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia (including things like intentional misgendering or deadnaming), bad takes about nationalities or religions, etc. Words and jokes that are tolerated on other subreddits are not tolerated here (do not make $rope jokes, no “wife's boyfriend” stuff, etc.) It is highly recommended you do not use the word “retard” (even though apes do) as reddit has issued bans for this.
- Accounts Must be Older than 1 Month to Contribute: The automod will enforce this rule. We get dozens of spam posts/comments every day of bots linking to merchandize scams, random penny stocks, and more. Our mod team is small and does not have the capabilities of larger subs. As such, the best solution was simply to require a account age restriction. This is not about trying to exclude anyone, it is simply that if you are related to Gamestop, the merchandising bots target you.

- Do not name or tag users and/or subreddits outside this community. This includes referring to certain usernames and subreddits with an alternate name
- user-centric drama or hyper-focusing on any particular group of people or individual users. Keep it about the stock and their irrational worship of it and pipe dreams of silliness. Don't make it about the individual people
- Off-topic or Inappropriate for this Sub: This sub is for memes and making fun of memestocks. Cultist posts that highlight their belief in batshit crazy conspiratorial nonsense and fairy tales rather than reality are welcome.
- We do not need to see individuals being homophobic/transphobic/racists/nazis/trumpanzeees. There are better subs for that out there.
- We also do not need to see every cult figure's tweets copy/pasted here. You can go on Twitter to see those if you'd like.
- No Manufactured Content – Do Not Intentionally Instigate Arguments or Bait in Other Subreddits: Do not go to other subreddits and attempt to start arguments with people for purposes of baiting them into providing content to produce screenshots. Content you post here must occur organically. Ban messages from other sub Reddits are not allowed.
- No Antivax/"Vaccine Hesitancy" Rhetoric: Anti-vax/"Vaccine Hesitancy" rhetoric, fearmongering, or promotion of "alternative therapies" will result in removal of the post or, in extreme cases, an outright ban from participation in this subreddit. For purposes of this rule, 'rhetoric' is defined as verifiably false statements that are oft-repeated.
- Conversation on this should go to the appropriate subreddits. This is not the place to discuss vaccines, this is a matter for individuals and their licensed medical provider.
- Bans and Appeals: Good-faith ban appeals will be heard by a moderator other than the one that banned the participant. Responding with trash will result in a mute. This is a “Spiderman situation” - everybody gets one. If you actually want to be unbanned, do not make your first modmail memeworthy or an immediate launch into an argument. Just state you think you were banned unfairly, and that's all that's needed.
- Duplicate posts, or near duplicate posts, are not allowed and will be removed. Read before posting.: Due to increased traffic on the sub we're going to remove duplicate (or near duplicate) posting to reduce the signal to noise ratio.
- Proof or ban: Proof or ban. If you make an affirmation about your portfolio, you need to prove it in the next 24 hours or you will be banned. Note that this applies to apes as well as sub members. This can apply to other extraordinary affirmations at the mods discretion or by special petition. Unfortunately almost all apes lie. Prove that you're the exception so we can congratulate you on your gains!
- No Trolling: If you are not a regular contributor to this sub and you show up to troll this sub's members, you will be banned. This includes 'concern trolling' and 'gatekeeping'. Don't come here to start arguments.
- Gif bots and copy paste bots: We do not allow karma farming bots in this sub. They will be banned mercilessly.
