Subreddit Rules
- Be Respectful: Keep all posts civil and respectful. Being rude, name calling, harassment or anything else along those lines will NOT be tolerated and will result in escalating bans. Use the report function for any comments or posts you believe breaches these rules. If you retaliate you will be held to the same standard.
- This group is for everyone with gallbladder issues.: This group is for all individuals suffering from gallbladder trouble. Not everyone wants to have/wants to be convinced to have surgery. Some people want to manage their gallbladder disease through a low fat diet and some people want advice on what they can do while they manage their gallbladder disease symptoms and that should be respected. If you do not agree or cannot offer constructive advice then skip over the post. It is not your place to try to convince someone to get surgery (or not)
- No Self-Promotion or Advertising: This is a support community, not a place to promote products you are selling, services, YouTube channels, blogs, or social media accounts. Posts or comments that are self-promotional will be removed. Repeated violations may result in a ban. If you believe a resource you have created is valuable for the community and is 100% free then send a modmail- exceptions may be granted for exceptional information.
- No medical pictures may be posted directly to the subreddit: We no longer allow images to be uploaded directly to the sub. If you need to share a medical image for context, you must upload it to another hosting site (such as Imgur) and share the link. If the image contains incisions, gallbladders, stones, or anything graphic, you must mark the Imgur post as NSFW.
- Do not make post/comments pertaining to or promoting gallbladder flushes that will remove stones: All recommendations for managing symptoms must be based on proven medical science -do not promote flushes that will remove stones or other homeopathic remedies as they're not verifiably safe. Anecdotal evidence is not sufficient. Content promoting flushes will be removed. If you have info that is based on science feel free to post with sources. Don't blindly follow any advice in relation to taking supplements. Do your own research to ensure they’re the right fit for you.
- Do not ask if you should have surgery- make your own decision.: We are not doctors, that is a personal choice that has to be made by you. You are welcome to ask for the experience of others but it must be obvious that you’re not asking for the decision to be made for you- if not your post may be removed. If you see a poster asking if they should have surgery please report the post so we can review.
- No bad titles: Titles should give a clear summary/indication of the content of your post.
- No emojis, no vague phrases and single words such as “Help” “Gallstones” “Pain”. Posts with bad titles will be subject to removal. This subreddit is a resource, try using keywords and phrases for better search functionality.
- Do Not Violate Reddit Content Policy:
