  1. Please remain civil: Please remain civil and help to keep this a supportive environment for all. Please try to assume good faith in others whenever possible.
  2. Surveys or research must be pre-approved: In order to avoid survey fatigue and check for upsetting content or other issues, all research or surveys must be pre-approved by the moderator.
  3. Usually only research with relevant ethics approval and appropriate participant information and consent will be allowed.
  4. More info and examples of approved research can be found [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/endometriosis/comments/d7xrzt/recruiting_for_research_studies_on_endometriosis/)
  5. No self-promotion: Please don’t use this sub as a platform for advertising or promotion.
  6. There are contexts where links to helpful info from companies, blogs, films etc. will be appropriate. If you are unclear about whether something might be allowed please send me a message to ask first.
  7. In general, you are not allowed to post anything for your specific personal financial advantage (including in order to gain followers, advertising revenue etc.).
  8. Use warning flair where necessary: Please use the flair “Content warning / Graphic images” for posts with links to surgical pictures, incisions or any descriptions likely to upset.
  9. Please use the flair “Infertility/ Pregnancy related” for any discussion of fertility, infertility, TTC, pregnancy or related issues.
  10. People with endometriosis should feel welcome to discuss whatever they want here, but we need to all be sensitive to the fact that there are subjects some people want to be able to avoid.
  11. No posts about apps / platform / website development: Due to the huge increase in the amount of people developing apps for things like symptom tracking, posts about this are not currently allowed. This is because otherwise app development posts will completely dominate the subreddit.
  12. This also applies to any other product development, such as journals, websites, tools, platforms etc.
  13. Be sensitive to the patient community and be patient focused : This subreddit is not restricted to just patients with endometriosis but we do make up the vast majority of people here. If you are not diagnosed or suspecting that you may have endometriosis or a related condition, please keep this in mind and make sure your post is sensitive towards the community majority.
  14. Partners, friends and family may post here for information but posts focused solely on issues faced by partners should be instead posted on r/endopartners or relationship advice subreddits.
  15. Please post in English language only : Please post only in English as it is not currently possible for the sub to have moderation in other languages.
  16. Don’t post or recommend medical information written by generative AI: Please don’t post replies written by generative AI (such as ChatGTP) or recommend to others that they use it for medical advice. Generative AI can be very inaccurate and can give potentially dangerous incorrect medical information.
