Subreddit Rules
  1. Keep it civil and be nice: Be nice to each other, we are all dealing with T1D differently.
  2. Do not invalidate other user's problems when they are looking for help.
  3. Keep in mind that the sub adheres to reddit's [Content Policy](https://www.redditinc.com/policies/content-policy) which includes its Prime Directive: Remember the human. Reddit is a place for creating community and belonging, not for attacking marginalized or vulnerable groups of people.
  4. Advice and Suggestions: Don't take comments or suggestions about treatment options as if they're coming from a licensed medical professional. All you will get here is shared experiences and advice. Nothing more. Please see your endocrinologist or family doctor for professional advice.
  5. Content must be related to Type 1 Diabetes: Posts must be related to T1D at least in some way. This rule mainly aims to remove unrelated content like cat videos, unless the cat has type 1 diabetes. We are more lax about comments, but remember the focus is on T1D.
  6. If you wish to discuss other forms of diabetes please try r/diabetes or a subreddit for that type specifically.
  7. No advertising (includes buying, selling, or trading prescription medicine and medical devices): Advertising products and services that result in financial benefit to the advertiser are not allowed.
  8. No buying, selling, or trading prescription medicine or medical devices. Gifting supplies is allowed and you may ask the receiver to cover shipping costs. Reports of fraud may result in the offending user being permanently banned from the sub.
  9. Do not make posts that aim to recruit participants for projects such as surveys or fundraisers: We do not allow surveys, fundraisers, studies, market research, interviews or other projects for which participants are required. There are simply too many this is a support forum and the moderator team cannot properly validate the legitimacy of each project. We're not here to provide you with your target audience, write your papers or give you data. The conscious decision has been made that this a place where type 1 diabetics can just talk without pressure to constantly participate in things.
  10. Do not post misinformation: Serious misinformation about diabetes is at risk of being removed.
  11. Provide context with your posts: Please leave an explanation of your reason for posting when asking a question or posting a picture. When making a post it must be apparent to others why you are asking your question or what is going on in the picture.
  12. Please refrain from posting CGM graphs that aren't accompanied by an explanation, asking broad questions without elaborating on the situation.
  13. Self-promotion: Posting content you made yourself is allowed, but keep it to reasonable levels. Do not flood the subreddit with it.
  14. Only link to individual videos, articles, etc. Do not just post your own channel, profile or website. Link us directly to content that is worth reading/watching.
