- Spam: Spam and promotional content aren't allowed in this subreddit. Note that it is usually OK to post (and we appreciate!) useful links that would benefit the community, but if the purpose of your post is to solicit the community rather than contributing to it, then it will most likely be removed (this includes direct and indirect promotion, including "addicles", framing something helpful that's actually an ad). Accounts that are used to solely promote will be banned permanently.
- Lazy or low-quality posts: Posts are expected to have a certain level of _effort_ put into it. Things that are likely to get the post removed include:
- a post which is not comprehensible (or has an empty body). This also applies to crossposts that have just a title/blank/are low effort. * a post with a poll and little else. This is commonly seen in posts that are asking readers to choose a company for them. We expect the poster to provide some details, such as the location of the roles, and what _they_ think of them.
- Common questions: You're expected to search the subreddit to see if your question has already been answered before making a post.
- AI Large Language Models (LLMs): Content generated from AI LLMs is not allowed.
- Other posts around AI are permitted especially from an academic/technical POC.
- Please be mindful the other rules still apply, so these would not be allowed: - Low quality and repetitive questions (using it for homework, impacts to the job market) - Doomposting about the impact to computer science, job market, etc - Self-promotion of wrapper projects is limited to the project thread

- Laptop posts: It's not really within the scope of this subreddit; use r/SuggestALaptop or r/laptops instead. Expect posts under this category to be removed.
