Subreddit Rules
  1. Not related to CF life choice | Low quality/effort: All submissions must be **[directly](https://redd.it/1mim17)** related to the childfree lifestyle. **Related** means that posts must contain childfree-related content, not just a forced connection. Low effort, low quality posts [will be removed at the moderators](https://www.reddit.com/r/childfree/comments/5i3j2v/good_morning_rchildfree_a_couple_of_moderator/) discretion. **NO AI POSTS.** AI content is **NOT** allowed in this sub and is considered low effort.
  2. No gross pictures, gifs and/or video links: [Images, gifs and videos depicting pregnancy, childbirth, poop, vomit, etc. are considered off-topic and will be removed.](https://redd.it/3m81qp) Posters who submit images depicting pregnancy, childbirth, bodily fluids/functions, etc. will get [temporarily banned](https://redd.it/403tpy). Descriptions of animal abuse, even in the context of a /r/childfree rant, are no longer allowed on our subreddit.
  3. No reposts: Please search the subreddit and check out our [Hall of Fame](https://www.reddit.com/r/childfree/wiki/halloffame) and the [CF Comics page](https://www.reddit.com/r/childfree/wiki/comics) to see if a question or topic has been brought up already. Reposts will be removed at the moderators' discretion.
  4. Keep it civil: Bigotry and hateful language/imagery, personal attacks, abusive language, ableism, advocating violence, trolling, gender discrimination, racism, homophobia, etc. will not be tolerated. We also do not allow posts and comments using disparaging and degrading commentary about the pregnant body and we do not tolerate misogyny or misandry. [Reddiquette](https://support.reddithelp.com/hc/en-us/articles/205926439-Reddiquette) is a list of sitewide rules and we expect member adherence
  5. No jokes/making fun of violence/harm towards kids: [Comments and posts advocating violence towards children and/or making fun/light of violence against children or harm happening to children in any way that would discredit the subreddit](https://www.reddit.com/r/childfree/comments/6bgspr/reminder_violence_towards_children_is_strictly/) will be instantly removed and will earn the commenter/poster [an automatic ban](https://redd.it/3i47wj). Yes. Even if it's "just a joke" and even if "you weren't seriously saying/thinking/wishing it".
  6. Use post flairs: To better organize content, all posts are to have a flair. [This post includes instructions on how to add flair through desktop and mobile.](https://www.reddit.com/r/childfree/comments/ahdv31/flair_and_filter_guide_2019/).
  7. No bingos: Posts and comments to the effect of "Wait till you're a parent", "You'll change your mind someday", "You only think that cause you are young", etc. (what we call "[bingo](https://goo.gl/1dzA6t)", for short) will be removed. [Parents are welcome to post](https://www.reddit.com/r/childfree/wiki/faq#wiki_if_i.27m_not_childfree.2C_can_i_still_post_here.3F_i_have_insights_for_you_and_advice_to_ask_from_you.) as long as they are respectful.
  8. No posting from or to other subreddits: Crossposts, links, and discussions of content in other subreddits undertaken in a way that would make it easy to find the original content is not allowed. [Reddit is not a source of content and r/childfree is not source of content for other subs](https://www.reddit.com/r/childfree/wiki/linking). We aren't a subreddit to complain about what people do in other communities. Do not link or screenshot posts or comments from or to other subreddits. Here is further clarification.
  9. Self posts only : Self posts concerning pets, free time, hobbies, extra money, etc. can only be submitted as "Text Only Post" (don't use the "Submit a new link" button), but can contain pictures, gifs and/or videos as long as they are not only the link to pictures, gifs and/or videos. We don't, for the most part, allow links. Links may be allowed if they form part of a text only post (eg through a link to Imgur or similar). Links to childfree related news and other media articles are allowed.
  10. Parental regret - Use special flair: Parents regretting their choices of having a child are welcome to share their story to serve as a "what if..." to those visiting the sub who are not 100% sure about their choices (also known as 'fence sitters').
  11. Parents posting regret stories should use the "REGRET" flair accordingly. I the flair is not set, please report the post accordingly and the moderators will manually assign the regret flair and re-approve the post.
  12. No recruiting : We don't allow recruiting for media or journalistic research due to risks around privacy and data protection. We can never 100% guarantee someone is who they say they are and we would hate to see someone get doxxed because they gave the wrong person too much information.
  13. Shaming: Abortion shaming and sterilisation shaming are NOT allowed - repeat offenders will be banned. Forced birth rhetoric is NOT allowed in our subreddit.
  14. % Childfree: Hi OP,
  15. This item has been removed because you're calling yourself childfree while not being childfree. Please see [our wiki](https://www.reddit.com/r/childfree/wiki/faq#wiki_what_does_it_mean_to_be_.201Cchildfree.201D.3F) for how we define childfree in our community.
