Subreddit Rules
  1. Content Must Be Chelsea Related: This subreddit is for discussion relating to Chelsea Football Club.
  2. No low-effort or duplicate posts: Repetitive discussion, low-effort posts, simple opinion questions, surveys/polls, and trolling should be posted in the Daily Discussion Thread instead. Please check the “New” queue and search bar before posting. Duplicate posts or posts adding little to existing discussion may be removed. Surveys and polls require prior moderator approval, as the subreddit already runs official post-match and post-season surveys. Pre-match, post-match, and rivals watch threads are posted by the moderation team.
  3. No spam or self-promotion: Do not post spam or overly post your own content with the purpose of advertising without contributing to the community. We uphold the 9:1 content ratio, which means if more than 10% of the content you link is your own, you will receive a subreddit ban.
  4. No NSFW Content: Content with gore, nudity or sexual themes is not allowed.
  5. No toxicity, harassment, or trolling: Harassment, any form of -isms and incivility, and abuse towards others will be moderated heavily. This also includes abuse towards others’ opinions, tagging users for abuse, and general toxicity. We are all entitled to our opinions, but we must remain respectful. Belittling others for their opinions is not allowed. Disagreement is a healthy byproduct of a forum and discussion are highly encouraged, but "flame wars" are not.
  6. Abuse of the self harm report feature will result in an immediate ban.
  7. Do not troll other team subs: Trolling other team subs will result in a ban from their sub as well as ours. When deciding whether a comment or post is considered trolling we will often take input from the mods of the sub the comment or post was made in. We take this rule very seriously and may hand out long or permanent bans for the first offense.
  8. No buying, selling or exchanging of matchday tickets, or discussions surrounding illegal shirts: You cannot ask to buy, sell or give away tickets (as we cannot ensure you will not charge for them later) anywhere on the sub. If you are interested in buying or selling tickets, please see the 'Tickets' guide and FAQ or visit the Official Chelsea Ticket Exchange. Also, illegal shirt sources hurt the club, and as such we do not condone discussion around them here.
  9. No click-bait/editorialized titles: This means no titles that require you to click on the article to find out the content. An example of click-bait would be "Chelsea looking to sign promising young star". This is click-bait as you need to click the link to see what player, so you'd need to change the title to include the name of the player. Even if this is the title of the article, you need to change it.
  10. An editorialized title would be if you post a link to an article or video, but instead change the title to fit your opinion.
  11. No unreliable or indirect sources for news/quotes: Please use factual and objective titles - nothing may be editorialized unless it's to give more unbiased context. Submissions may be removed if the title is too vague, or partisan. Reliable sources relates to transfer rumours, which you may refer to the rumour reliability guide - they must be tier 1 or 2 to be used as posts. Indirect sources are ones where a news aggregator or a middleman is using another story. Indirect submissions are not allowed here as it may miss vital information.
  12. When posting a goal highlight, mention the goalscorer and opposition in the title: Please use the following format example: Chelsea [1]-3 Burnley - Player 68'. This includes the home/away teams on the correct side of the hyphen (-), square brackets around the score affected, followed by the scoring player and minute.
  13. When posting team lineups, mention the players in the title: Simply putting "Lineup vs Bournemouth" for example isn't enough. A full list of the players playing (and if possible, subs) is required.
  14. Self-flair your submissions: New submissions require the poster to self-select a flair that is most relevant to the topic of their post. This will ensure that we can categorize posts for organizational purposes, and to give the reader a better idea as to the contents of your post. Any blatant misuse of the self-flair (for example, choosing "Official" for a rumour) will lead to post removal, and bans for repeat offenders. If you are unsure, message the mod team or leave it un-flaired.
  15. Submissions from banned sources are disallowed: Please review the ban list to see which transfer rumour sources are banned in the transfer rumour guide in the sidebar.
  16. No stream/download links to matches: In the spirit of abiding by intellectual property law, Reddit guidelines, and protecting this community, we ask that users do not share links to streams of matches, live or not, nor downloads. Comments or posts requesting streams will also be removed.
  17. Rumours require the source in the title: If posting a rumour, the journalist or publication should be included in square brackets at the beginning of the title
