- Please use the "what is my cat breed" megathread located on the sub front page under hot.
- No Bigotry/Be civil: We're all cat lovers here. Be civil. Any sort of malice towards race, sexuality, or gender will result in an instant ban
- Please don't stir up arguments. We're all human beings. This subreddit isn't here to cause arguments. It's just here for silly cat images.
- No NSFW or Animal Abuse!: This is a PG subreddit, we allow minors into this subreddit. Posts like "boy or girl", gore or pornographic images will result in a permanent ban. This also includes overweight or "chonk" photos it is abuse and will result in a ban.
- NSFW *isn't* tolerated in the subreddit, find somewhere else to post it, we take animal gore extremely seriously.
- No Advertisement/Financial aid/Product Questions/Promotions/Asking for Karma : It's a tough time for everyone, we understand. This subreddit isn't for the place for advertisement or asking for financial aid.
- No asking for upvotes or Karma
- Financial aid may be going elsewhere, to prevent scams we don't allow any posts/comments asking for financial aid. We also don't allow pomotion leading to other platforms such as: Tik Tok, Facebook, YouTube, etc.
- Including photos of Food/Toys/Products…. Promoting
- No AI: This subreddit is just for cat artwork and cats overall, AI isn't tolerated. This is seen as plagarism.
- Artists spend a lot of time on art, it shouldn't be plagiarised or stolen by AI. Make sure your artwork is original. Breaking this rule WILL result in a permanent ban.
- No Plagarism-OC ONLY : Artists shouldn't have to spend hours for their art to be stolen, plagarism isn't tolerated in the slightest.
- If it's not your cat don't post, please! OC only
- Links/Videos : Links and videos genuinely aren't allowed. Links are only allowed in the circumstance of someone asking for a specific cat item and a link to it.
- Videos are genuinely *not* allowed apart from Fridays where you're able to upload any funny/silly videos of your cat.
- Overall subreddit quality : As a large subreddit, we have to maintain some level of quality. Karma farmers, karma bots, etc, all be permanently banned.
- Make sure you upload an image that isn't grainy or blurry! We do understand, Reddit screws over quality so we'll remove images which are hard to view.
- No screen Shots
- No "Name my cat" posts: Posts asking for name suggestions for cats are **not allowed** anymore. These posts were recurring & were used for karma farming by karma farmers & bots.
- > They have been banned from the subreddit after receiving multiple complaints from the members.
- Attempting to bypass this rule **can** result in a permanent ban.
- No Medical Advice: This includes “is my cat fat/skinny”. Declawing. Scars, Cuts, Bruises and/or any concerning marks on your Cat/Kitten. Bile, waste and/or discharges are not allowed. We're strictly a cute and loving cat/kitten picture sub. Any medical advice should be directed to a veterinarian or a more suited subreddit this not being one. Fauilure to follow this rule will result in a permanent ban.
- Memorial-Celebrating Life : As a Happy Cat Sub we must also remember the Joyous times shared with Cats we have Lost.
- Please remember many come here to escape sadness.
