Subreddit Rules
  1. Don’t be an asshole: If you can’t be civil, including when you disagree, then keep it to yourself. Conflicts are inevitable but basic respect is expected in the community. This subreddit is for meaningful support, not degrading, mocking, or judging others because of differences. Personal attacks are not tolerated.
  2. Contain your toxicity: Recovery is hard enough without a poisonous support environment. Fear-mongering, antagonistic pessimism, passive-aggressive jabs, and unproven doom projections are not welcome.
  3. Truth truth essential to recovery but so is hope, so keep truth and hope bound together.
  4. No antisocial bullshit
  5. harassment, abusive language, hate speech, or encouragement of violence in relation to self or others.
  6. No “vulture” content / sourcing allowed: Anyone selling or sourcing Iillegal benzos or other illicit substances will be immediately and permanently banned, and reported to Reddit admins.
  7. No trolling or targeted stalking: If you’re in this subreddit for anything other than genuine benzo recovery support or similarly beneficial purposes, just keep moving on out.
  8. Keep your political/religious junk in your pants: Personal beliefs and faith are valuable and welcome, but pushing your political/religious views on others is not - that usually ends in conflict.
  9. No unnecessary photos of pills or benzo supplies: In rare cases there are justifiable reasons to show photos of pill or benzo-paraphernalia, for which such posts need to include a nsfw label.
  10. Not unnecessary pill/benzo supply photos are otherwise allowed, as such images are triggering for many members and increase relapse risks.
  11. Don’t blindly encourage rapid tapers or CT jumps: Our purpose is harm reduction and we don’t support reckless risk-taking. If someone is encouraging dangerous behaviors, report it for mod review.
  12. Provide evidence/proof whenever possible : Prove it (if you can) - If you make a scientific argument, link evidence if at all possible. If it’s opinion, make that clear.
  13. Know your resources (Ashton, BIC, etc): Familiarize yourself with the Ashton Manual and Benzo Information Coalition resources, as well as other verified options.
  14. Be at the center of your own recovery.
  15. When in doubt, ask the mods: We have some genuine professionals on the mod team and our goal is to help, so please reach out at any time if you have questions, concerns, or ideas. We try to respond as promptly as possible.
  16. No celebration of substance abuse: Celebration of substance abuse or encouragement of reckless substance abuse is not tolerated.
  17. No invalidating the experiences of others without objective evidence: Directly invalidating the experiences of other community members (eg, “your long term withdrawal isn’t real, you have a mental illness” or “bullshit, you can’t get withdrawal from short term use”) without immediate provision of evidence to back it up will not be tolerated. If you can’t back your invalidating claim up with objective evidence (by definition, that does NOT include your personal experience), what you have is an opinion and using your opinion to invalidate others is not acceptable.
  18. If you claim to be a medical, mental health, or addictions professional, provide proof to the mods: Claiming to be a professional provider of medical, mental health, or addictions services will require verification by the mod team in the form of a valid and active practitioners’ license or other credentials which legally enable you to provide services. Refusal or inability to provide verifiable documentation will result in a ban.
  19. Ban Evasion: Ban evasion is not tolerated.
