Subreddit Rules
- Organization: When posting a new thread, please note:
- - Thread is not asking for personal recommendations - Post promotes conversation, not just 1-2 word replies - Not a simple question that can be answered in any of the recurring threads - Topic has not been discussed within the last 6 months
- [Click this link for guidelines describing what questions are appropriate as a stand-alone post or are better suited for the recurring threads](https://www.reddit.com/r/beautytalkph/wiki/meta/is-my-question-allowed)
- Post Flairs: Try to tag your post with the appropriate flair (e.g. “[PSA]” or “[DISCUSSION]” or “[FOTD]”) to help the mods.
- Self Promotion: Self promotion and linking to your content on external sites is not prohibited, but please don’t spam. Keep it to twice a week maximum. These posts must also only be 10% of your activity on the site. Affiliate links or any affiliation or sponsorship from brands should be disclosed beforehand.
- Linking: All external links (social media, shops, product listings, etc.) must include a short description of what the link is and why you're sharing it. Vague comments with only a link and no prior context are not allowed. Any affiliate or referral links must be fully disclosed.
- Image and Video Content Requirements: Posts with images or videos must include the products/services in the post body. This helps keep posts searchable. Low-effort, image-only posts or posts where the entire context is placed inside the images/videos will not be approved.
- Videos must be uploaded to Reddit directly; no YouTube, TikTok, or other platform links.
- Hauls, FOTDS, Shelfies, Before & After Posts: Hauls, FOTDs, Shelfies (collections), B&As, Hair Makeovers, and the like are only allowed every Friday to Sunday. Include a complete product list (brand, item name, shade/number) in the post body. Include some background info on the Before & After posts and a routine if possible. You can mention if something was purchased online or locally. Disclosing prices would be helpful, but not required.
- FOTD Filters
- heavy filters on photos, especially those that change the color of the product. Try to adjust photos such that the color looks closest to real life. If possible mention the kind of lighting (daylight, fluorescent) because this can change how a product looks.
- Product and/or Service Reviews: OP must have a MINIMUM SUB KARMA of 15 to post a review. Actual product photos or post-service photos with the OP’s username on a piece of paper beside it are required for a review post to be approved. Username verification must be physically present in the photo during the time it was taken and not added digitally afterwards. Posts with just a screenshot of the product or service, and images from search engines will be deleted.
- No Soliciting of Medical Advice: We strongly discourage members from seeking or offering medical advice in the subreddit for safety reasons. If you are experiencing anything concerning, please contact a medical professional for advice.
- Respect, don't be rude: Be kind, or at the very least, polite. Let’s make this sub a safe space for lively and positive PH beauty talk!
- Mods can remove your posts and comments if they deem it too rude or discourteous
- To be clear, we encourage constructive criticism, but be sure that it’s actually constructive and not an attack. Instead of saying “Only stupid people use that product”; You should say “I don’t like this product because they’re actually proven to be harmful for your skin”
- No unrelated posts: This sub is for makeup, skincare, hair care, body care, fashion, fragrance, and other self-care topics within the Philippines.
- If you’re unsure about anything, message the mods!:
