- Keep it sensitive: Respect the sensitivities of our community, especially in comments. There are many sensitive topics; a few examples include pregnancy, "rainbow babies", graphic medical descriptions, and probing or insensitive questions.
- In posts, state "Trigger Warning" or "TW" in the title. In comments, stick to only those sensitive topics introduced by the OP. Remember that others may not be where you are yet in your personal grief journey.
- Respect privacy: Do not probe for additional details beyond what a poster volunteers, especially with regards to private medical information.
- Don't "compare losses": It's really not constructive to engage in comparisons of "whose loss was worse". One phrase of grieving is anger, and one very common focus for that anger is other grief parents, if we can convince ourselves that their loss "wasn't as bad". But other loss parents are not the people who deserve our anger. We have to treat each other with kindness here or it ceases to be a support group, and kindness requires validation. By contrast, comparing losses is dismissive and belittling.
- Don't "police" (ZERO TOLERANCE): Do not tell others that they or their posts don't belong here. We are a support community. The group description specifically says all are welcome. All sincere and honest questions and contributions are welcome. If you feel a post or comment is out of place, use "Report" to let the mods handle it; don't post rudely telling the person that they aren't entitled to share their struggles or their grief here.
