  1. Related to Audiobooks: Threads and top level comments here should be related to audiobooks. This can include stories recordings of books or other less traditional style audiobooks such as those told via podcast, radio dramas or other audio media.

  3. Copyright Infringement is not allowed: NO discussions that promote copyright infringement. This includes posts that ask for illegal torrent links, promotes torrents, or Youtube, soundcloud & torrent links that infringe on copyright.
  4. No "I made a text to speech app" type posts: We support voice artists and actors here.
  5. So, Congrats you made an app that converts text to speech, using AI voices. We don't care. Every second person seems to have done this. We don't want AI voices. We don't want your app.
  6. If you are an author who made an audiobook using AI.... you can post. But expect to be flamed for it. Just record it yourself, or hire someone.
  7. You Must Announce Any Association With Books: Author/Publisher/Narrator Posting Guidelines:
  8. Your posts are welcome and encouraged. However, You must clearly identify any association you have with the book you are posting
  9. Free audiobook giveaways are welcome, same rules apply.
  10. Limit promo threads to once per week: We welcome authors, narrators etc giving away copies of books, or promoting their books. However to avoid the spamming of books by a small group we are limiting these posts to once per week per reddit user.
  11. Multiple posts will be deleted.
  12. If you want to post more than once per week, there is always there Freebie Friday post that you can comment in.
  13. And as per our other rules: you MUST clearly state your association with the book.
  14. Use of Affiliate Links: Affiliate links are generally not encouraged for /r/audiobooks
  15. If an affiliate link is used it MUST:
  16. 1) be clearly stated within the post that it is an affiliate link
  17. 2) be of additional benefit to the community (so no generic linking to sites that are likely well known like audible.com or audiobooks.com etc)
  18. Not meeting #1 will have posts removed immediately. Item #2 shall be at the discretion of the subreddit moderators
