Subreddit Rules
  1. Be kind one another!: This is as simple as it sounds — be kind to others, and be kind to yourself.
  2. Be respectful of the anti-diet culture environment.: While anti-diet culture doesn’t mean just one thing, honor our group culture
  3. recommending diet culture practices (including CICO, fasting) or language (NSV, onederland), food moralization, body shaming (yourself or others; ex: “gross”), or sharing before/after photos. We aren't anti-intentional weight loss (IWL), since we're the only group of our kind; we bridge a lot of perspectives. However, if you mention IWL, be mindful and use the IWL flare.
  4. No #s (weights, sizes, BMI, calories).: We don't allow specific numbers (weights, sizes, BMI, calories, etc). You may still discuss intentional weight loss but the red tags for "CW: IWL" or "CW: IWL, ED" must be added. You may discuss numbers with doses, labs, or percentages (within reason), as well as broad references: "I've lost several sizes" or "I'm losing a steady pace" but still be mindful of rule #2 if doing so.
  5. No food moralization.: In this group we avoid any language that moralizes food (good/bad) or use of words like junk/trash to describe food. This includes talking about fast food, processed food, etc. as bad/unhealthy or meant to be avoided.
  6. No sharing where you’re sourcing meds: Since our mods can't validate any medication sources or the alignment of companies with our group values, we don't allow sharing of names of companies in this sub.
  7. Do not ask for or give medical advice.: If a post or comment is better discussed with doctor or pharmacist from a safety lens, it will be removed. Our priority here is safety and accuracy of information. This also includes, on occasion, removing a post if the person is actively engaged in an ED and is better cared for my a doc/therapist.
  8. No reposts from other groups: Because of our rules, we don't allow reposts, since we can't control for the content or comments. Please copy/paste if you're posting something that was originally in another group.
