Subreddit Rules
- Read the full set of rules. CLICK THIS LINK!!!: [Full rules](https://www.reddit.com/r/amateur_boxing/wiki/rules)
- The rules listed below are just the most commonly broken.
- No hateful, racist, sexist language or non-productive arguing.: Self explanatory, site-wide rule. If you're arguing a point that doesn't progress the conversation, stop. Give everybody a fair shot, no thirsty-boy comments, your own demographic doesn't give you a pass on racist language, and the only people who say YDKSAB are insecure.
- No soliciting or administering medical advice.: This means no attempting to figure out what your injury might be, how long it will take to heal or what to do to help recover it. On the flip side it means do not attempt to figure out someone else's injury or administer advice on how to treat it or train around it. ASK A DOCTOR and if you have more questions CALL THE SAME DOCTOR BACK.
- No backyard sparring or unsafe practice of the sport.: Proper sparring needs: A safe surface to stand on, proper safety equipment, a 3rd party on hand in case of emergencies and some level of control. Hitting punching bags or objects without wraps and/or gloves is both unsafe and not relevant enough to the sport of amateur boxing.
- Self video-submissions need to be at least 1 minute of continuous content without breaks.: In order to give you a proper critique we need to see your game for enough time to make an assessment. The minute minimum should not include you putting on and taking off gloves, playing with the camera or have any editing or jump cuts except to edit out breaks between rounds. Highlight reels go in the General Discussion/Meme Dump sticky on top of the front page.
- Only one video submission per week.: To allow everyone a chance to get their videos viewed and to give anyone posting an opportunity to implement what advice they received, we limit video submission to one every seven days. This also applies to video shares from content creators.
- Discussion not directly related to training or fighting goes in the General Discussion sticky.: It's located at the top of the subreddit in green font next to the Stupid Questions thread. Non training and non fighting related discussion will be removed.
- Discussion of boxing gear and buy/sell/trade is handled at r/fightgear: r/fightgear
