Subreddit Rules
  1. Follow reddiquette.: Reddiquette is an informal expression of the values of many redditors, as written by redditors themselves. Please abide by it the best you can.
  2. https://www.reddithelp.com/hc/en-us/articles/205926439
  3. Posts should be directly related to Walt Disney World.: Posts on /r/WaltDisneyWorld should focus only on Walt Disney World and its resorts in Orlando, FL. Posts about other Disney parks, cruises, the Disney corporation, Disney movies, or other theme parks should go to other relevant subs (you can find a list of many in the sidebar).
  4. Please note: the “off topic” rule also applies to political or other contentious posts, especially if there's little relevance to WDW, as well as “meta” commentary (about the sub itself, users/mods, rules, etc.).
  5. Keep it civil and respect each other.: This subreddit has strict and actively enforced civility guidelines. Treat others as you would like to be treated. Don't be a jerk. Leave your drama at the door. Don't be a troll.
  6. Racist/ethnocentric, xenophobic, sexist or trans/homophobic slurs, as well as any other hate speech of any kind, will not be tolerated on /r/WaltDisneyWorld.
  7. No Blogspam or self-promotion.: [What constitutes spam? Am I a spammer?](https://reddit.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/204536499)
  8. [Guidelines for self-promotion on reddit.](https://www.reddit.com/wiki/selfpromotion)
  9. We welcome content creators from all platforms to be a part of our community. With that said, a general rule of thumb is that conversation and posts linked to your own content should be limited to our monthly self-promotion threads.
  10. No selling or buying things.: We aren't a platform for the exchange of goods. This is not limited to tickets to the parks. This includes tickets to activities and events in the surrounding areas as well as goods and services. This behavior is only acceptable in our monthly self-promotion thread and in areas explicitly stated by the moderation team. Soliciting purchases of WDW merchandise is not permitted anywhere on the sub.
  11. No Working/Cheating the system.: This includes, but is not limited to: exploiting glitches in the MDE app, exploiting glitches in the Disney website, arranging to hand off FastPass+ to another user when you drop them and holding Dining Reservations for another user to reserve when you cancel them, using parking "hacks" to get around paying for parking at the parks and/or to gain access to a resort's amenities, and so on.
  12. No Low-Effort or Copyright-Infringing Screenshots.: While the increasingly app-based guest experience at WDW makes it difficult to discuss some aspects of your trip without using screenshots, we do reserve the right to remove screenshots that may potentially violate copyrights or intellectual property rights, as well as those deemed “low-effort” (e.g. trip countdowns, MDE wait times and boarding groups, booking confirmations, weather apps, Shop Disney merch listings, etc.).
  13. In general, users should submit a direct link rather than screenshots.
  14. Limit posts/submissions to one per 24-hour period.: In the interest of keeping your content fresh, and to avoid flooding the sub, please keep posts to one per 24-hour period.
  15. Advertising other Subreddits w/o prior approval.: Advertising other Subreddits w/o prior approval is forbidden on r/WDW.
  16. Please note Subreddits providing similar contend to r/wdw will not be approved and request made PMing a person MOD instead of Mod Mail will be ignored.
  17. Please [message us](https://www.reddit.com/message/compose?to=%2Fr%2FWaltDisneyWorld) if you have any questions.
  18. Low-effort and AI-generated posts will be removed.: Low-effort posts, including those made primarily by generative AI, will be removed at mod discretion. Please put some thought and creativity into your post and make sure you encourage discussion with the community.
  19. If you feel your post was unfairly removed please contact the mods.
  20. No AMAs without moderation team approval.: We welcome anyone who has had a special experience surrounding Disney to come hang out with our community. We just ask that you [message us first](https://www.reddit.com/message/compose?to=%2Fr%2FWaltDisneyWorld) so we can verify your authenticity and possibly arrange an appropriate time for your post.
  21. No meetups, IRL encounters, or exchanging personal information : While we understand the desire to take your connection to the "real world" of WDW fans, we unfortunately can't allow the subreddit to be used for planning meetups, exchanging personal info (including for research), arranging food/drink drops, posting critical photos of other guests without their consent, or planning other IRL encounters.
  22. Please note: this rule also applies to sharing links to Google docs and other platforms that may expose users’ personal log-in credentials.
