In some cases it's so illegal on the islands that it could land you in jail. It's not worth the hassle. **Attempts at circumventing this rule will result in an immediate and permeant ban**
- No Selling / Advertising / asking for deals: This includes Travel Agent posts, Affiliate links, loot links, referring to travel agent subreddits, selling or trading of existing reservations, Requesting "deals" and so on. **Violation of this rule will result in a 30 day ban.** ***A second violation of this rule will result in a permeant ban.***
- Exception** Posts flared with "seeking TA assistance* - You may reply /advertise but all contact info must be shared via PM (see auto mod post in thread for details
- NO Dates/Roll Call posts.: Please DO NOT include your sail dates in posts. If you want to see who else is on your sailing please use the roll call thread instead.
- Don't Violate Reddit rules:
- Travel agents may not make New posts regarding sales: New posts by Travel agents referring to Virgin's latests promotions / sales are considered advertising and are thus prohibited.
- First time offenders will receive a 1 day ban (warning). Repeat offenders may be permently banned
- No Youtube /Social Media Content: Posting of Youtube, Instagram, twitter, X, TikTok or other social links without a detailed explanation of why and whether or not the video is yours is annoying and not conducive to promoting conversation. This concept has proven difficult for people to grasp so they're NOT permitted for top level posts. In thread posts are still permitted (with context).
- Content Created and posted by VV is excluded from this rule.
- Violations are subject to Ban**
- No Sexual content: Solicitation of "play partners" of any kind (swinging, hookups etc.) is banned and so is overtly sexual conversation. We understand we're all adults but let's keep the subreddit PG.
- Depending on the severity, you could receive a 30 day or permanent ban for violating this rule.
- Don't be a jerk: The length of your ban for violating this rule is up to the whim of the moderators.
- No access key requests: Asking for a free cruise is rude.
- Stay on topic: I shouldn't have had to add this but if the post isn't related to Virgin Voyages, go post it in the subreddit it's supposed to be in, not here.
- Please don't ask about ship capacity: Most questions about ship capacity are out of concern for the number of sailors affecting the quality of service. Every sailing is different. The ships can host 2700 passengers but the average sailing at the moment is somewhere between 1000 and 2300 depending on ship and time of year. In all cases the ships can handle both large and small crowds well so it will not affect services onboard nor your ability to enjoy the cruise.
- No hate speech: r/VirginVoyages has zero tolerance for hate speech. This includes but is not limited to: sexual orientation, gender, age, race, economic status or political affiliation. All humans deserve to be treated with humanity. **Any hate speech will result in an immediate and permeant ban.**
