- Be respectful. Do not instigate or continue flame wars. Do not be cruel on both sides of criticism.: This is a positive, welcoming community. Most of what is posted here is people's hard work with models, and most of the comments will be people's reactions to them. By nature, this invites criticism. Criticism should be fair and respectful. Response to criticism should be levelheaded and respectful. Going on big angry tangents about criticism you received, or jumping on someone's model with hateful fury is explicitly not allowed. If you don't want criticism on your post, state that in the title.
- You must post something interactive and on-topic along with a simple box/codex/grey plastic photo.: Posts that are simply a photo of a recently purchased box, codex, or unpainted/assembled miniatures are an easy way for a newcomer to interact with the community, but we get posts like these all the time, and there's not much to say in response. Include a question or story or something fun with your photograph, please (and make sure it's relevant to Tyranids). Give people something to interact with besides just saying "Welcome." Don't post something just to brag about having/buying it.
- Do not use r/Tyranids for sales or advertisements of any kind.: The promotion of any type of business or the advertisement of any type of individual paid product (outside of GW's own storefronts) is not permitted.
- Personal transaction posts seeking paid or sold goods of any kind are forbidden.
- Do not post blatantly NSFW content.: Do not post overtly offensive imagery unless it comes from an official Warhammer source with relevance to Tyranids

- You may post excerpts from official GW codices/books, but do not post/request full scan/dumps.: Posting entire scans or dumps, whether this be a repository link, a PDF, a pastebin, or anything that's a complete 1 to 1 rip of written material that GW owns the rights to is prohibited. Limit yourself to posting relevant excerpts. Do not announce that you have this material and are willing to share it privately, either. Do not request this material either.
- Do not repost other people's work as your own.: Do not repost the work of another user and pass it off as your artistic creation. This could be a 3d model, a paintjob, a sculpt, some greenstuff, etc. Any impersonation at all.
- No subreddit or offsite community raids.: Do not participate in pointless, spammy raids that involve cluttering up this or other communities with nonsense.
- Do not e-beg.: Do not request free stuff from the subreddit or individual users. This includes physical items and digital goods, such as models or codex codes.
- Flair your posts properly.: Flairs allow users to categorize their posts, and filter posts in or out from those categories. Improperly flairing your post makes it difficult for users to use those features properly.
- Do not spam.: Do not post the same content multiple time with little to no changes, or continuously post low-effort or reposted material with little additional contribution.
