Subreddit Rules
  1. Anime-adjacent content only: Submissions must be related to anime or this subreddit. For the purposes of clarity, we're defining anime as "Japanese animation". Adjacent media includes all manga, as well as anything with an anime adaptation that either exists or is currently in production. Adjacent also includes any animation that stylistically imitates anime such as Avatar The Last Airbender.
  2. No links to illegal downloads or streams: You can still discuss fansubs, and you can even provide directions on where to find them. The only thing you can't do is explicitly link to them.
  3. No unmarked spoilers
  4. unmarked spoilers, unless indicated by the submission. In other words, if the submission title or text announces that there will be spoilers, then you don't need tags.
  5. Instructions for how to apply tags can be found in the sidebar.
  6. Titles need be specific and descriptive.: If it's about a specific anime, the name of the anime must be in the title. If it's about a media franchise, then you must name the franchise. If it's about a topic such as moe, then it must include moe in the title.
  7. No generic recommendation threads: "I'm looking for historical anime set in the warring states period" is fine, "I just finished Clannad, what next?" is not.
  8. No personal attacks: Personal attacks are anything that replaces a substantive argument with ad hominem, insults, or name calling. Harsh criticism, while discouraged, does not count as a personal attack.
  9. No submissions centered around external secondary content.: The submission can't be about yours or anybody's blog, video, etc. If you made a blog or video about the same topic, you can link to it, but nobody should have to click any link to find out more, or get the "better version" of your post.
  10. If you break this rule 10 times, then /u/stanthebat will come to your house and kick you in the nuts. If he can't find your house, then you better provide him with directions. Refusal or inability to consent to nut-kicking will result in a ban instead.
