Posting Requirements & Restrictions
Subreddit Rules
- Top surgery content: Posts must be about removal of breasts (no augmentation, implants, or cis reduction) and must not be about cancer-related mastectomy, unless it is also functioning as desired top surgery. Radical reduction for transition or dysphoria-related reasons is allowed for now.
- NSFW marking, gore: Images of pre-surgery chests must be marked NSFW. Images containing a noticeable amount of blood, fluid, open wounds, or gore must also be marked NSFW. A little bit of blood and scabbing, however, is fine. Please provide warning in title if your post contains major surgical gore, per community's request. Additionally, text posts that discuss gory details or NSFW topics must be marked as such.
- Minors: Absolutely no pre-surgery images from minors that show the bare or significantly exposed chest, nipples censored or not. Post-surgical images from minors are permitted, as long as they are free of NSFW content other than blood/gory details
- discussion of sexual content involving / with minors in posts or comments.
- Be kind about results: Few chests post-op are perfect, and many can be quite far from perfect. Please be kind about peoples results post-op and if you feel the need to say something negative about someone's chest, please ask the OP if they are okay with negative feedback first.
- No transphobia in any form: Transphobia is not allowed. This includes discrimination against nonbinary & transmasculine individuals. And please keep discussion of truscum/transmedicalist rhetoric out of this sub.
- Self harm: Please censor all unhealed or partially healed / still red (or whatever color your non-FULLY healed scars take) self harm scars. This can be done with blurring, coloring over, or other methods. Images containing fully healed (i.e. similar to your natural skin tone) self harm scars are fine, and it is up to OP if they wish to mark the post with NSFW or provide a trigger warning.
- If you are uncertain if your image will need censoring for self harm marks/scars, feel free to message me or the sub.
- Required flair for ranting: I have yet to implement required flairs, but I ask that posts that focus on ranting/venting be flaired as such.
- Body-shaming, ED content
- body-shaming is allowed. This applies to all body types and shapes. Do not comment on peoples' weight if they have not specified that it's okay to do so.
- Please do not ask people to add a trigger warning for their body size. Fat bodies exist, thin bodies exist, in-between bodies exist.
- HOWEVER, in an effort to minimize things that may trigger those with eating disorders, I ask that you provide a warning if discussing weight, food intake, calories, etc. Promoting unhealthy diets is a no-no
- No promotion of unsafe/illegal methods
- promotion of unsafe methods for top surgery, or illegal methods. I understand some of us like to joke about DIY top surgery, but please keep that out of this sub. This includes images/art of DIY top surgery.
- No advertisements or promotion of own brands: Do not use this subreddit to promote your own brand or post things sponsored by a brand. If you have your own top surgery scar cream, this is not the place to advertise it for sale. If you have a scar cream you use, it's okay to recommend to others, but do not do any promotions for it.
- Inciting problems: Do not make any posts attempting to taunt, harass, or target trolls. Please do not make posts taunting Twitter trolls, as this will just draw unwanted attention.
- 'Do I qualify' posts
- posts asking if you qualify for a certain type of surgery are allowed. Only a surgeon can give you that answer.
