Subreddit Rules
  1. Feel the Connection and Be Kind: When looking out over the city lights, or with the crunch of autumn leaves under your feet, homesickness, appreciation, introspection, and reflection wash over you.
  2. This subreddit is a safe harbor for sharing those feelings.
  3. This means rude, cynical, and snarky comments are banned. These kinds of comments are very common on reddit, but they are not allowed here.
  4. This is the most important rule of the subreddit. If you come across a rude or snarky comment, please report it!
  5. Post Content That Represents The Night Feeling: The Night Feeling is a sense of deep reflection, thoughtfulness, and melancholy on life, the world, and the people who live in it.
  6. It is often(but not always) felt at night when the world is asleep.
  7. [See a description of the feeling here.](https://www.reddit.com/r/TheNightFeeling/comments/j3ze08/what_is_the_night_feeling/)
  8. Posts that are scary or eerie, that are off topic, or that otherwise don't quite fit the vibe I'm attempting to maintain here will be removed.
  9. Accusing Posts of Using AI Is Not Allowed: Too many talented users have been harassed due to false AI accusations.
  10. Accusations are almost always angry or aggressive, and often lead to witch hunts and insults.
  11. If you suspect a post was made using AI, you should definitely not leave an aggressive comment on the post, or a comment of any kind.
  12. Instead, just report, downvote, and move on. I'll look into it and remove if appropriate.
  13. AI Images/Videos Are Not Allowed: My primary goal for this subreddit is to serve as a "safe harbor" where people feel comfortable being open and relating to one another.
  14. For some of our users, that chill peaceful vibe is harmed when they come across AI images. Also, AI-produced content nearly always sparks conflict and anger in the comments of posts.
  15. Therefore, content that is primarily/solely created with AI is currently banned.
  16. This rule is subject to change as the state of AI content develops over time.
  17. Self Promotion is Allowed: As long as you're not spamming or submitting multiple times a week, you can link your store, prints, or music in the comments of your posts.
  18. I don't believe that users should create unlimited content for free or else they're "selling out."
  19. Posts that are obviously commercial will probably be subject to a stricter analysis of "does this fit the vibe of the subreddit" than otherwise.
  20. No NSFW: NSFW posts of any kind are not allowed. If you wouldn't feel comfortable seeing it on your work monitor, don't post it here.
