Subreddit Rules
  1. Stay on topic: Keep shit specific to AI: Posts must focus on the asinine things AI bros say **about** AI and not simply:
  2. shit-talking people opposed to AI (without also saying anything specifically about AI); * juvenile bickering; * tribalism (i.e.. insolent remarks that vilify, belittle or antagonize non-AI users without ever saying anything about AI); or * examples of someone's work being fed to AI (that's what image generators and LLMS do).
  3. At its heart, this sub is about making fun of ideas, not people.**
  4. No tribalism or rage bait.: This is not a sub for reposting juvenile AI-generated cartoons of an ogre or a girl with cat ears saying something banal, like "AI art is art" or something about a pencil breaking.
  5. The best content is usually found in the wild in subs that are genuinely **about AI**, rather than eristic subs about *being* pro/anti AI.
  6. Don’t be an eristic or an AI bro.: An AI bro is someone who abandons logic and/or makes a bad-faith argument to justify supporting generative AI.
  7. AI bros who come here just to fight or provoke people will be banned.
  8. Ethics and other subjective topics (like whether AI images are "art") are not up for debate. These topics attract eristics and are rarely debated in good faith.
  9. AI bros — this is our house, so please take off your shoes and be respectful.** Otherwise we will kick you out.
  10. Be respectful.
  11. racism, sexism, ableism, transphobia or homophobia of any kind. Do not be extremely rude or toxic towards others.
  12. No misinformation.: If a fact-based statement is likely to be disputed, back it up with a link to a reputable source
  13. Use credible news sources.: News articles must come from credible news publications. Articles published by independent journalists are allowed so long as their Substack employs a professional news editor to vet their work.
  14. Do not post screenshots of headlines or parts of news stories instead of linking to the story.
  15. No paywall evasions.: We believe in and support a free press, so sharing paywalled articles is permissible while sharing links that bypass paywalls is prohibited. If you believe in respecting copyrighted work, believe people should be paid for their work and above all — do not like the idea of tech oligarchs being able to go unchecked — then you should have no problem with this rule.
  16. Gift links are an exception, which provide subscribers with a special link to allow non-subscribers to read an article.
  17. Redact usernames and do not brigade.: Mask usernames and do not encourage brigades against other subs. We recommend you redact usernames with different colors to differentiate each user. Posts that are hard to follow because the same color was used for each user may be removed at the moderators’ discretion.
