- General posting guidelines: Please keep posts and comments on point to the nature of the group. Posting and commenting on anything other than S.T. Dupont related topics or pictures will result in it being deleted.
- Also, please treat others with respect and dignity when interacting with members, foul language and unruly attitudes will be dealt with accordingly.
- Selling guidelines: When posting a lighter for sale please make sure that you include:
- Plenty of pictures of the lighter, most importantly of the bottom that allows us and others to verify the authenticity of it
- Post how much that you are looking to get for it
- General location to where the lighter is so the buyer can calculate shipping costs.
- SPAM: We would like to keep things fresh here and active naturally, please do not continuously try to hog the limelight by bumping your post constantly to maintain active status.
- Additionally, if you want to come here to sell fake shirts from redbubble, teespring, rebrand ect... just do us a favor and leave as that is going to get removed quickly.
- Also any investment scams and fake accounts will also be removed and banned
- exceptions.
- When asking for authentication upload the photos directly to the post. DO NOT USE IMGUR.: Please upload the pictures directly to your post for authentication purposes, this is because imgur is very low quality and gets spamish in regards to posts when more info is needed.
- Additionally its annoying to have to go to another site to show the pictures.
- No Livestreams or Live Discussion posts: While we encourage our members to be active on the page, in order not to tie up new posts from getting the spotlight, please make sure that you do not livestream or select "live posting" when submitting your post. Thank you.
- Selling of fakes: Individuals attempting to sell fakes or asking how a fake could be sold for will have their comment/post removed and they will be given a warning. Further instances of violating this rule will result in a ban.
- Derailing/Undercut of a sale: The page is open for everyone to ask questions and obtain help from the collective. Attempting to take attention away from someone's post in the comments section, or attempting to sway buyers to your item on another poster's ad will result in your comment being removed.
- Further instances will result in a ban.
- Do not abuse the Authentication request feature: We are a learner centered subreddit for the Dupont lighter line, and are open to helping accounts quickly authenticate their lighters.
- If you repetitively continue to ask for authentication on lighters that can easily be done by looking the guide, your account will suspended or banned from the subreddit.
- This goes also for accounts that simply use this feature for the purpose of monetary gain.
