Subreddit Rules
  1. Rochester/Monroe County/Greater Roc Metro/FLX content only: This is more of a general reminder that content on this subreddit should be specifically relevant to Rochester, and any content that is more general or not unique to just Rochester, Monroe County, the Greater Rochester Metro, and/or the FLX region will be removed.
  2. Civility - Personal Attack: Comments will be deleted in which users call other users offensively derogatory names. Ad Hominem is a poor excuse for debate or discussion, you all know better. In the case of frequent offenders the user will be warned, and possibly banned in the case of obvious troll accounts. Users will be able to appeal a ban, though obvious trolls shouldn't expect their bans to be lifted.
  3. Civility - Suspected Troll: Users who intentionally contribute meaningless "trollish" content, whether by post or comment, consistently, are subject to content deletion on this sub and potential for a ban, whether temporary or permanent.
  4. At the discretion of the mod team, some comments may be approved, that appear trollish, that have already garnered a significantly negative karma score, as to illustrate the character of the user making the comment.
  5. Reddit's Content Policy: Prohibited content is outlined [here](https://www.reddit.com/help/contentpolicy).
  6. Repetitive Questions/Posts: Posts that ask repetitive questions (questions that have been asked recently, fairly recently, and/or frequently) are subject to review and removal by the moderation team. Please use the search bar and FAQs section before posting a question to the subreddit, as a lot of questions surprisingly have already been asked and answered.
  7. COVID19 - Masks and Vaccine: Disciplinary action will be taken for any user spreading misinformation about wearing masks and the vaccine in regards to COVID19. Disciplinary action may include removing posts/comments, temporary bans, and permanent bans.
  8. Link News/Articles: If your post refers to a news article or link, you must include that link, and do not sensationalize the headline. Any post that does not follow this rule will be removed. Links to The New York Post will also be removed as that entire entity is entirely and completely sensationalism of news and articles.
  9. Rules for new users/accounts: A two week moratorium is in effect for all new users wishing to post/comment in this subreddit. After two weeks from your account creation date, you will be able to post/comment.
  10. Also in effect is a karma requirement for posting/comments, which is to have at least a zero score for all karma metrics (posts/comments).
  11. No Twitter/X Links or screenshots: Per community feedback, any and all twitter/x links and screenshots will be removed.
  12. Regarding AI-Generated Content: Per community feedback, AI-generated content in posts will be heavily-moderated, and most likely removed. Only in rare instances will AI-generated content be allowed to stay, at the discretion of the moderation team.
