- No advertising without Mod approval: All people who have an interest in advertising here **MUST** message the moderators first to get approved. Any advertisement, selling or 'indirect/adjacent' promotion is bannable unless a trusted dealer on a forum or r/reptimeservices. Users also cannot shill for any dealer (post a positive review specifically in exchange for a discount or money).
- No sales on reptime: We will not support sales or trades of any kind here on reptime and will delete all sales. If you want to sell or buy, there is a discord channel, and the forums also support trading. If you post here even hinting you have something for sale, you will be banned.
- No QC posts, post on r/reptimeQC: Please post your QC to r/reptimeQC where people will assist. You can post QC here IF it is to discuss something that the broader community would find interesting about a new model, version, or trends in QC. r/reptime is not allowing general QC posts to help with an individual's own purchase.
- How to Solve Issues with Trusted Dealers & Trusted Watchmakers: (1) If you have an issue with a Trusted Dealer or Watchmaker, first try to work it out with them. (2) If you continue to have issues, PM the mods of the forum where they are a trusted dealer. You MUST be a CONTRIBUTING member prior to asking them for help. Watchmakers are trusted on r/reptimeservices, so mods there. (3) If you want to post on reptime about your experience, please do. Just don't use reptime as the place to air out a conflict that is still in dispute.
- Shitposts (memes) are only allowed on Fridays: We call these Shitpost Fridays (or SPF), and it is solely meant to cut down on the amount of Shitposts/memes but still allow for fun!
- No questions about servicing a watch. Go to r/reptimeservices for any questions.: Questions about how often to get a watch serviced, waterproofed, regulated, what does it involve, and other relevant questions are covered by a vibrant community in r/reptimeservices. You can of course post specific questions asking for more clarity for a discussion topic.
- "Legit Checks" not allowed.: We do not encourage social media callouts, and if you really want to check, take a minute to look at the watch and compare it to pictures of the genuine watch on Chrono24 or eBay. When looking to purchase a genuine watch or have an inheritance, check with a professional first, not Reptime.
- Try to keep on topic: Keep discussion related to the theme of the subreddit. We will no longer be allowing karma farming posts.
- Have fun!: We are all here because of our mutual love for this hobby, let's try to foster a community where we can all enjoy it together!
