Subreddit Rules
- Be kind and abide by Reddit’s rules/Reddiquette: Be kind and constructive with criticism; don't comment anything that is needlessly rude or hurtful. Our sub is supportive and appreciative of all nail art, no matter the artist's skill level. Critiques/comments including harassment, slurs, and -isms are not allowed. Retaliatory behavior is unacceptable. Don't engage; use the report button as needed. Trolling, participating in bad faith, and rage-bait is not allowed and will be removed. Users must abide by Reddit’s rules, UA, and Reddiquette.
- Speak inclusively: Avoid using language that could be perceived as discriminatory, stereotyping, or prejudiced towards any individuals and/or groups of people. Since this sub includes people of all genders, members are expected to use language that reflects this. Ex. pals/friends/all *not* guys/ladies/girls.
- Comments/posts made in languages other than English may be subject to removal. This is to prevent anything that could be interpreted as offensive from being weaponized and unable to be moderated objectively.
- Content must be related to nails + easily visible: This subreddit is about nails: your nails, others' nails, nail art, nail care, nail issues, nail progress, nail/brand product reviews, polish dupes, tutorials, etc. Not nail related posts are not allowed.
- Please include relevant photos, text, and source links to any content posted here. Posts must be easily viewed and accessible on this subreddit. Cross-posting is allowed, but all content should be visible on this sub’s post without having to go to another subreddit/site to view the full post.
- All content not created by you must be credited/referenced accordingly: If a pic/video you post isn't your own, you must credit the original artist/account by name/social media handle and disclose that the content is not yours. - All polishes/products used must be clearly listed: A full list of any polishes/products used must be included with your post. This list must use the full brand names *and* shade names/numbers. If you forget to add them to the post title and text body, you must post the info in a separate comment ASAP, a maximum of 6 hours after submission. Crossposts must add this info in a comment on our sub.
- Posts of salon/tech work: specify the type of enhancement and/or polish used and any other details you are able to provide + use the post flair.
- Ads/PR/Sponsored Content Must Be Disclosed: Per the [FTC](https://www.ftc.gov/business-guidance/resources/disclosures-101-social-media-influencers), sponsored content must be tagged using the appropriate subreddit post flair/brand affiliate toggle **AND** the relationship with the brand/product(s) must be disclosed in your posts. Brand owners may not use the subreddit purely for advertising. If the only contributions are self promotion, the comments and/or posts may be removed at the mods’ discretion
- affiliate links/codes are allowed.
- No Explicit/NSFW or Pedicure/Feet Content: Users are expected to appreciate nails without using explicit, graphic, or sexual terms. Attempting to comment and/or DM anything fetishizing will result in a permanent ban as it is nonconsensual.
- Pedicure/feet photos are allowed on the RedditLaqueristas Discord in the specified channel **only**. Any posts made here will be removed and can be reposted there. This is not because pedicures are inherently sexual, but a policy in place to protect our subreddit and community members.
