- political nihilism.: Your post must fit in with progressive political ideals. Disagreements are okay and discussion is encouraged, but political nihilism isn't a means of progress and is therefore off-topic. If you want to criticize Democrats or Greens or DSA you are welcome to. If you have the view that "Both Republicans and Democrats are exactly the same im just gonna protest vote", please direct yourself to a different sub.
- No disinformation: If you have an extraordinary claim, cite it. Randos on Twitter/Youtube, webcomics, unsourced graphics, and mouthpieces for the Trump Administration are not viable sources.
- hate speech. : Try and have a productive, have forward thinking conversations about making the world a better place. Don't spread hate for any group.
- No tankies: Historical revisionism and unawareness that China and Russia are state capitalist oligarchies isn't allowed. Genocide denial will result in a permanent ban.
- No encouragement or celebration of violence.: Violence is antithetical to the progressive cause and helps the other side. Its also against Reddit site wide rules. Encouraging civil disobedience and protest is ok.
- Suspected bot accounts will be banned.: If an account is suspected to be a bot or otherwise automated they will be banned. However if the account is wrongly banned please appeal through the modmail.
- Blatant bad faith participants will be banned: Comments that are purposely inflammatory, hateful, trolling, or just empty mockery that serves no real discussion value, etc. will be immediately removed.
- These decisions are not limited to participation in this sub.
- Suspected AI generated posts will be removed: r/ProgressiveHQ is committed to productive discourse about the reality of our existence. AI generated posts only serve to muddy the waters at best, and actively disinform at worst.

- Mod Discretion and Appeals: Mods have the final say. We may make errors in banning or removing comments, and we welcome appeals in good faith.
- Messages like "What did I say?" or "Which rule did I break?" will be considered bad faith appeals and will result in being muted. Appeals must specifically address the issue at hand, or they will be dismissed without comment.
- This rule has a zero tolerance policy.**
- NSFW Content: Any post that includes violence, abuse, or other sensitive visual materials MUST BE MARKED NSFW. Incorrectly tagged posts will be taken down and repeat offenders will be banned.
