- No Gatekeeping: POTS is a condition that varies greatly. Let's keep in mind that your symptoms may not exactly mirror another person's.

- No Doctor/HCW Hate: We completely understand that many of you have had negative experiences with individuals in the healthcare system. We are not denying that these happen. It's okay to talk about them here, because we understand people need a place to vent.
- However, generalized hateful statements about doctors (or any other health care workers) are not allowed here. We are not here to breed an "us vs them" environment. This hurts everyone involved and benefits nobody.

- Members with our condition often have money issues of their own. While we feel for everyone here who is struggling financially, we feel like our platform isn't the best place for you to try to raise funds. General discussions about how to raise funds (that do not involve asking this community for money) are permitted.
- Discussion of Vaccines: Discussion regarding personal experiences with vaccines is allowed on this subreddit, but posts/comments on their morality are prohibited. Claims made about safety for people with or without dysautonomia conditions require a reputable source. Fearmongering, and posts recommending that users do not listen to the advice of their medical team will be removed. Content is subject to removal based on moderator discretion if we determine that your contribution puts the safety of our community at risk.
- No Brigading: Don't use this subreddit to hunt down other subreddits. If you post content from somewhere else in a negative way, if you interact negatively with something from another sub that was cross posted here, or your post suggests interfering with another subreddit, your post will be removed and you may be temporarily or permanently restricted from our community.
- No Ban Evasion: Ban evasion, the use of new accounts to return to the community while banned, is against both the rules of our subreddit and the rules of Reddit.
- If you have been banned under this reason, Reddit ModTools has flagged your account as high suspicion of ban evasion and we have taken action regarding this.

- No Comparisons or ‘Pain Olympics’: Do not compare your suffering with others, as everyone’s experience is relative. ‘Pain olympics’ refers to when a user compares their suffering/symptoms with another’s in an unsupportive way. For example, “my pain is worse than yours, stop whining”. This falls in line with our No Gatekeeping rule and we have a strict no-tolerance policy for these types of comments/posts.
- Don’t put others down to lift yourself up. We all have our own struggles.
- IV Fluids & IVIG: Due to an uptick in posts suggesting consistent IVs/ports/piccs/IV spas without lifestyle changes, trialing medications, or even diagnosis in some cases, we have decided to not allow posts recommending or asking about IV fluids. We suggest speaking to your doctor about the subject. We also do not currently allow posts about IVIG for POTS. Patients receiving these treatments may mention it as long as they are only speaking to their own experiences.
- No Suggesting AI/ChatGPT: We do not allow recommendation of AI tools due to lack of evidence/validation. Suggesting the use of AI tools for diagnostics/test results or medical advice will be promptly removed with no exceptions. While in the future these tools may be helpful, they are not reliable in their current state.
- If you circumvent this rule, you will receive a temp ban. If you repeatedly do so, the ban will be permanent.
- No Spam or Low-Effort Submissions: Unapproved "AMA" posts or "AITA" posts are not allowed. Do not repeatedly submit the same, or extremely similar, content in a thread or across the subreddit. Mods may also remove "low-effort" content. There is no minimum length for your post, but we do ask that you contribute meaningfully.
