This is a place to share stories, experiences, questions, images, art, poetry - anything to help you through the journey of expressing the real you and meeting others who are like you.
- Check the archive before posting questions: Anyone wanting to ask questions because you don't understand something non-binary must search the archive before posting. Odds are your questions have been answered... multiple times. If it's obvious you haven't done this, your post will be removed.
- All "Name Me" Posts In This Megathread: All requests for names will now be posted in this thread: https://new.reddit.com/r/NonBinary/comments/1fuj2qk/megathread_for_name_requests/
- No "guess my AGAB" or "do I look nonbinary/andro” posts: We do not allow posts that ask anyone to guess OP's AGAB/assigned gender at birth, whether it is as the main point of the post or a side-note, etc. If you see these posts, please report them to us. Similarly, we don’t allow posts asking “do I look non-binary?” “Do I look androgynous?” “Do I look femme/masc?” *or* posts asking how to look any of the above. There is no one way to look nonbinary. Picture posts should be celebrations of you.
- Link posts: comment with context: When making a link post, please make the first comment to your post. You can include a summary of the link, an opinion, and/or a discussion question. Thanks for participating!
- Mod approval is required for interview & research survey requests: Interviews and research surveys require prior approval from mods. Interviews or surveys will not be approved unless they focus on the trans or nonbinary communities.
- No Advertisements or Fundraisers: This sub is not the place to promote your products or raise money.
- No NSFW content: Posts from users trying to direct traffic to their NSFW profiles are not allowed.
- We're now redirecting more sexy content to /r/NonBinaryLewds , /r/EnbyLewds , or /r/NonBinaryNSFW , as our main subreddit is 13+.
- Put your steamiest pics there instead.
- Don't post hate speech, even if it was directed at you: It's okay to ask for support after a hateful interaction, but please don't post screencaps of what was said.
- DO NOT send DMS to moderators over mod actions: Under no circumstances should you directly message mods with complaints, requests, begs, apologies, or any other mod-related concern. **USE MODMAIL.**
- If you harass individual mods via DM, you may be permanently banned with no further appeal, regardless of the seriousness of the original offense. If you have been muted, you will simply have to wait until it is over. (Permanent mutes are exceedingly rare AND limited to troll+hate accounts.)
- No “do I pass” posts, no asking for “passing tips”, no asking if you “look nonbinary” /androgynous.: This is not a passing subreddit and such content would be better placed in subreddits that allow discussion criticizing / critiquing personal appearance. Attempting to guess someone’s ASAB goes against subreddit vibes and rules.
