Subreddit Rules
- Be nice and courteous:
- Posts must be relevant to the subreddit: Posts must be related to Nikon products. Photo submissions must be photos that were taken with a Nikon camera or lens. Photo submissions made with mobile / cell phone cameras are not allowed.
- No Spam, including AliExpress deals
- spam. Including but not limited to blog spam, deal sites and youtube. This includes AliExpress discount codes and vouchers. Remember that /r/nikon is **not** a platform for your Youtube channel.
- No Buy/sell posts: This sub is not to conduct business - Buy or sell. This includes NFTs
- Reposting of other redditors' images is a bannable offense: Do not repost other redditors' images. Photo submissions must be photos that YOU have taken.
- Photo submissions MUST be taken with a Nikon camera or lens, and MUST include the body and lens used: You **must** include the Nikon body and lens used to take your photo. Shutter speed / aperature / ISO is also recommended.
- Only one submission every 24 hours: For Photo Submissions, please only submit one post every 24 hours.
- "Look what I've got" posts must not be just photos of camera boxes, lens boxes, or screenshots: The "Look what I've got" flair can be used to show off your gear, and we encourage you to share photos of what you have purchased or found. But please do not post just the box or a screenshot of your winning bid on eBay or your invoice PDF from your local camera store. That's completely boring. Show us photos of the _actual_ gear! - Video Posts must be OC, no YouTube reviews.: Video posts must be OC (original content) and recorded by a Nikon camera. Please don't share your review of a camera or lens, our subreddit is not a platform for you to launch your YouTube career.
- NSFW photo submissions are allowed, but must be marked as NSFW: You must mark NSFW photo submissions with the NSFW tag, or add 'NSFW' to the post title. If the photo includes pictures of guns and other types of weaponry, drug references, partial nudity or lack of clothing, or anything else that would be considered NSFW in a typical workplace, please mark as NSFW. Pornography is not allowed.
- No AI generated content
- AI generated content is allowed.
- Sexualised commentary on NSFW posts not allowed: You can comment on NSFW posts about technique, colour, composition etc. but any sexualised commentary about the model’s anatomy is a bannable offence
- one cares in the slightest what you think about the model’s body, or what you fantasise doing to the model. Grow up and be a respectable citizen in this subreddit, and keep both hands on the keyboard.
- Political discourse is not allowed in /r/nikon: Photos that are political in nature are allowed in /r/nikon. However, any commentary on the post *must* be about the merits or technical information about the photo, and **not** be political commentary about the subject of the photo.
