Subreddit Rules
  1. Be kind: Kindness and respect are key to maintaining a positive environment. Please be courteous and supportive when interacting with others.
  2. No self-promotion: Self-promotion is not allowed. This applies to products, services, contents, groups, and events, **regardless of cost**.
  3. Common examples include sharing a website, blog, app, YouTube content, affiliate link, or a subreddit you moderate.
  4. Requesting feedback or testing for a product or service is also considered self-promotion.
  5. Brand accounts (name, profile, and/or socials are specific to a product, service, etc.) will be removed. Please use a personal account to participate.
  6. Guided meditations, media content, playlists, blogs, etc.: Posts that link to YouTube videos, Spotify playlists, blog posts, etc. without sufficient context and/or discussion will be removed.
  7. High-quality video content, blog posts, etc. may only be shared if they include enough context to allow for participation in discussion without clicking, along with the poster's own perspective.
  8. Guided meditations, meditation music, etc. should be posted to communities dedicated to such content, e.g., r/audiomeditation.
  9. Low-effort, low-quality, off-topic content: Low-effort posts encourage low-effort responses, both of which are detrimental to the overall quality of discussion.
  10. Quotes, excerpts, etc. that do not include context or personal perspectives are considered low-effort. Quote images, memes, and generic lists or articles that don't offer a new perspective on practice will be removed.
  11. High-quality, informative images that directly relate to meditation or mindfulness practice may be shared, with the appropriate flair applied.
  12. No AI-generated content: Posts and comments that appear to be AI-generated or heavily edited by AI will be removed.
  13. Please write posts and comments using your own words. Our community values authentic contributions from actual humans, in all their perfect imperfection.
  14. Sockpuppet accounts: Using fake accounts to boost your posts or manipulate conversations is not allowed. Be transparent and engage authentically with the community.
  15. Recruitment: Do not use the subreddit to recruit members for external groups, services, or activities outside of this community.
  16. Recruiting research participants is only acceptable in the case of academic research directly related to meditation and mindfulness. Posts should include a clear overview of the research, including summary of motivations/objectives, eligibility/ideal participant, what will be asked of participants, and expected time commitment.
