Please refrain from making posts about new PC system configuration advice, we have subreddits on the sidebar that would be more suited to these posts. General questions regarding or in relation to contents LMG posts are preferred but general discussions are permitted.
- 2 - Reddit Etiquette: Be respectful & Follow Rediquette & never display any personal information in your posts.
- Do not engage in harassing, bullying, or threatening behaviour, and do not incite others to engage in these activities. Online harassment is also illegal in many places and can have serious offline consequences for both the harasser and the victim.
- 3 - NSFW Content: If, in rare cases, your content is NSFW (includes but is not limited to: nudity, vulgarity), tag it as such. Pornographic-type content is a bannable offence.
- 4 - Low Effort Content: Low-quality memes Topics and posts/comments must be clear, concise, and related to Linus Tech Tips in some way. Posting content that has already been submitted by another user. i.e. reposts. Ad nauseam image posts. Image posts that can't stand alone. Post titles as a URL. Opinion-based posts/comments that don't have justification. Questions that promote simple responses such as "yes" or "no" questions.
- 5 - Don't be a dick: Don't be a jerk, troll, or post low effort 'bait' comments to get a reaction and cause disruption. This includes any information that compromises the safety of any LMG staff member, their family, or the staff member's privacy and/or safety
- 6 - No requests to build/find/Buy a PC or related tech: Requests to build/find/buy a PC or related techfor you should be made on relevant subreddits and may be curated. Please post these requests to a subreddit such as /r/buildapcforme.
- 7 - Flair Tech Questions: General componentry or technical questions related or unrelated to Linus Media Group are allowed as of JUL 17 2019 but need to receive a flair at the time of submission.
- 8 - No Controversial Topics: Keep politics, religion, as well as controversial [non-tech] topics out of this subreddit. Likewise, it goes without saying that toxicity and racism will not be tolerated.
- 9 - No Advertising: Please do not promote other social medias, products, etc. There are better places for this, and advertising to our community members is unwanted.
- 10 - User acting in bad faith: Our subreddit does not allow bad faith arguments or opinions stated as fact, and we will not tolerate it. We will remove content that breaks this rule, or ban if there is evidence of a user consistently posting/commenting in bad faith.
- Post belongs in a currently active megathread: Report reason for posts that belong in a megathread
