- Moderation: Our aim as the moderation team is to maintain civility. To that end, we reserve the right to remove any post or comment. If you disagree with a moderation decision, please modmail us. Please do not discuss it publicly, or contact individual moderators.
- To help us moderate, please report content which violates our rules. However, please don't report content you just disagree with, or start arguments with moderators in bad faith.
- Be Grounded / Maintain Balance: Ithacar is meant to be a place where more grounded events happen. Very fantastical or world-shattering events are discouraged. If your OC is a very powerful character or a god, we recommend using a different character for this subreddit. Exceptions can be made (for boss-fights/villains/NPC patrons, etc.) However, if there are any questions about the appropriateness of a character, please check with the mod team.
- Avoid Unsanctioned Events: Ithacar has a static "canon". If you are planning a major event which will affect multiple other characters or significantly impact the current canon, please consult the mods before posting. As a proper bureaucracy, we have forms to fill out before your catastrophe can be approved.
- NSFW: While this is not an "adult only" subreddit, there may be some sensitive issues discussed within the context of stories. If there is any question about whether something is appropriate, please check in with the mods before posting. We handle all nsfw posts and content on a case-by-case basis.
- If you are unsure if something crosses a line, best practice is to play it safe, tag NSFW, and provide content warnings for sensitive topics.
- Discussion of AI is not allowed.: Due to instances of brigading on the main sub, there will be NO discussion of AI use here. People are free to use it/not use it at their own discretion. Be aware that if you have posted on anti-AI groups, your account may be banned automatically. Unbanning may happen on a case by case basis, but no discussion of AI is allowed.
