Subreddit Rules
- Stay on topic: We are here specifically because we are choosing to forgo HRT (Hormone Replacement Therapy). Posts that attempt to advance that agenda are unwelcome and will be removed.
- Vaginal estrogen allowed : Mentioning the use of vaginal estrogen is allowed as it is not a systemic hormone (aka HRT or MHT).
- Do not post lab/medical results: We are not medical professionals. Questions regarding lab results should be discussed with your medical professionals. We make no claim to be able to assess where you are at in your peri/menopause journey.
- No marketing of goods or services: Please feel free to discuss what works for you. However, soliciting of clients or patients is not allowed and will result in your posting being removed.
- Posts and comments should not contain direct marketing, spam, affiliate links, or self-promotion of products, services, or personal ventures.
- This sub also prohibits posts that are vague inquiries about specific, named, commercial products, services, or brands that are not directly relevant to a broad, general topic of discussion.
- Surveys Not Currently Allowed: This may be considered in the future. If you would like to post a survey please message the MODs.
- bullying, personal attacks, disrespect, judgement or hateful speech.
- No Selfies: There will be no posting of selfies. This is simple privacy enforcement.
- No undermining medical advice given to another: You may offer alternatives and options if someone has asked, but we will not tolerate unsolicited views on whether someone should take certain medications (this includes HRT) or supplements. We encourage everyone to speak to a medical professional if they would like to try something.
- Crossposting not allowed: We welcome your post but we ask you to please make a new original post by copying and pasting. Many times the original post on other subs gets deleted which leaves us with no content.
- Participate in good faith: We are here because we are interested in managing our menopause without hormones, whether by choice or due to other health conditions. We do not tolerate trolling. If you cannot bring something positive to the community, you will be asked to leave.
- The goal of this community is to provide non-hormonal support to anyone who needs it, regardless of other treatments they may be using.
- Posts and comments from accounts suspicious for bot activity will be removed.: Please be aware that your account history will be reviewed. Accounts that show patterns of inauthentic behavior (including inconsistent personas, scraping content from others, or posting solely to farm karma without community engagement) will be removed and banned. We value genuine interaction over bot-driven content. Do not post without commenting on your post and/or elsewhere in the community.
- No gatekeeping : This sub is for women experiencing symptoms related to menopause which includes those in both perimenopause and postmenopause. We also allow those taking hormones to participate as long as they keep comments and discussions to non-hormonal treatment options only. Any comments related to how wonderful hormones are or how they have helped you will be removed.
- This also extends to any non-hormonal treatments prescribed by a healthcare professional.
