  8. But if you're coming here to ask "is this cancer?" "Could this be cancer?" or to share "I think I might have cancer," your posts will be deleted.
  9. Repeats will get banned.
  10. You simply MUST seek this help from an actual medical doctor--full stop.
  11. It is too important. And participants in a subreddit are not qualified to help you.
  12. Be kind and respect others while posting. : Be kind and respectful and treat others as you would like to be treated.
  13. Understand that patients are often "at their wits end." Grant some extra grace.

  25. If it's real, patients (and science) will learn about it through the normal channels.
  26. No Photos, videos, scans, x-rays, etc.: "Does this look right" is a question for a trained medical doctor. It is not appropriate for a group of patients to review.
  27. If you aren't sure whether or not to bring it to a doc, talk about it here.
  28. No imagery necessary.
  29. We understand you have concerns.
  30. Reddit is absolutely not the place to handle anything diagnostic. We will ALL tell you "see a doctor."

  32. Don't attack people if they don't wish to go through cancer treatment for any reason. They aren't trying to depress you.
  33. It's up to everyone how they handle cancer and many people have had cancer more than once and are tired of getting treatment.
  34. Discussion is fine. Harassment is not. Understand that most people do not choose to opt out of treatment "early" in their cancer experience.
  35. No political posts.: Zero tolerance. Politics do not need to be mentioned in a cancer community. Not even what you think is a harmless joke. It never leads to anything positive. Just leave it out, please.
  36. No surveys. Not even yours. : This sub does not participate in research studies of any sort, including but not limited to universities, hospitals, or commercial organizations.
  37. Think yours might be okay? Think again.
  38. We are a support sub, not data for you to harvest.
  39. There's a right way to do those things, and the Head and Neck Cancer subreddit is not it
  40. If you're not going to read the rules, we shouldn't have to read your message, right?
  41. We will delete, and we will ban.
  42. No solicitation Crowdfunding, and other self-promotion.: Solicitation, Crowdfunding, and other forms of self-promotion are not allowed. We aren't your market. Good luck out there.
