Subreddit Rules
  1. Duplicate Thread: Skim at least the front page before making a new post.
  2. Off-Topic: Posts must be related to the Harmontown podcast.
  3. Some people don't want to be on Harmontown, they are defacto off topic, so don't post about them.
  4. This includes current/former partners of anyone on the show. If Erin is in a new movie, great, post about it. If you are posting someone's personal details/pics they haven't discussed on air, you are now a weird creep at the party and you'll get kicked out.
  5. If someone doesn't discuss their personal life on the show, it's not part of the show.
  6. Be civil to each other: "If you wouldn't say it to their face, don't say it here."
  7. Civility is important, be nice to each other. We are here for a fun party, not to have someone be rude for no reason. If you are having a bad day, walk outside, call a friend or loved one, or both. Venting your spleen on Reddit is not going to make you feel better.
  8. These rules don't address a new type of issue?: If you are angry, try reporting the comment and parse what they did wrong from this list of rules or suggest a rule in your report. We aren't perfect, maybe you have discovered the secret rule that leads to a charming and warm community. Suggest your rule and if it makes sense, it'll get put into the list.
  9. Label [Fan Art] or [Music] posts.: Fan art and music are great, please stick [Fan Art] or [Music] in your title. If you post some crazy awesome stuff or want to get your beats on the show, it helps the community know you are sharing some top notch OC (or at least a bit of OC that is definitely going on the fridge). Adding a proper tag also helps Harmontown identify if someone has made something new they want the moon colony to look at/listen to.
  10. No personal information or witch hunting
  11. personal information or witch hunting.
  12. Don't argue in bad faith. Don't be a troll.: Poe's law: Without a clear indicator of the author's intent, parodies of extreme views will, to some readers, be indistinguishable from sincere expressions of the parodied views.
  13. If you are posting hateful stuff and faking concern as a (preferred group) rights activist, it's transparent that you are trolling.
  14. Debate should be a goal to change both minds and come to a synthesis of new ideas. It's not just sharing an awful viewpoint to others without personal accountability.
  15. Again, be civil.
  16. NO BRIGADING, GORE, OR HATE SPEECH.: Don't start shit with other podcast communities/subs. We aren't your army, we are a moon colony. Think of us as lunar Switzerland but with more vodka. Don't post gore. Don't post any hate speech.
  17. No subscription issue posts: The community at large can't help you fix an account or payment concern.
  18. All issues with subscriptions should be mailed to support@harmontown.com or send a pm to /u/kevinday or /u/kboruff or /u/lotsoflemons
