Subreddit Rules
  1. Hardtails Only: If you don’t understand what that means, you are probably in the wrong subreddit.
  2. NO POLITICS: There is a time and a place for politics, and this ain't it.
  3. ANY political posts or personal political attacks will result in immediate deletion, and a possible ban. There is currently a zero tolerance policy in effect in this sub for political posts, and this is for the benefit and enjoyment of all this subs 52k+ users of all political persuasions. We’ve all seen how quickly posts go off the rails and turn toxic, and this is not the place for it.
  4. You have been warned.
  5. Full Suspension Bikes = No: Read rule #1 again. If you do post a full squish, expect at minimum side-eye, some grumbling, and post deletion, and at worst a possible ban. You have been warned.
  6. All Hardtails Are Welcome: Yes, that means YOU. Don’t be shy - you may have a first or cheaper hardtail, and be totally intimidated by some of the mega steezy high end shred sleds with lots of over-priced coloured anodized bits, but if you have a hardtail, you are most welcome here, and no-one will judge you. We all started somewhere. That being said, certain bikes may be more suited to r/xbiking as this is an MTB focused sub.
  7. This Thread Is Worthless Without Pics! (Or Videos): It’s a cliché, but it’s true. Yes, this subreddit enables pictures directly in the post AND pictures in the reply, so please post away. We want you to post pictures of your hardtails for us all to see. Oh, and non-drive side pics are just fine
  8. discrimination here.
  9. No Referral Links: Everyone appreciates helpful people, and links to recommended products and stuff are super-great…but please don’t post a link to an amazon (or anywhere) item with your referral link hidden in it. We will see it, and it will be removed. Just post a normal helpful link to a product to save us googling stuff
  10. Self Promotion: "It's perfectly fine to be a redditor with a website, it's not okay to be a website with a reddit account."
  11. If you are making a post or reply and it is enhanced by a link to your Instagram or Youtube of you sending/steezing/crashing, or some other thing or techniques that will inspire or help others, go for it. Posts that are just a link to your youtube/IG video with nothing else, or begging for subscribers or blatant adverts = deleted.
  12. For Sale Posts = No: Use PinkBike, r/BikeShop, facebook marketplace, or put it on your stoop with a 'FREE' sign. But not here.
  13. Spam: Obvious spam will be deleted, and repeated spam will result in a ban. The auto-spam moderator tool thing can be a bit over-enthusiastic on occasion, and sometimes auto-deletes posts/comments that are not spam. If it keeps doing this for your posts/comments, just drop the mod team a message and we will try and fix it.
  14. Play Nice: Respect others, no bullying, name calling, or doxxing. Violators will be banned from owning hardtails for life, and forced to ride full squish forevermore. And you really don’t want that, because hardtails are awesome.
  15. Need Help?: Just ask. People love to help others, so post a thread, or post your questions in the weekly general hardtail discussion thread. We promise you won't get laughed at. Any other/sub issues, just send us a modmail, and we will get back to you when we aren’t out riding our hardtails.
  16. Hardtails Are Awesome : It’s true, they are.
