- Question Post: We want to keep the sub page for user builds, if you have a question please check the Wiki first to see if has been answered, otherwise post it in Q&A Thread.
- Question posts that generate thought provoking discussions may remain up at the discretion of the moderation team.
- Haul Post: Everyone has massive backlogs. If we all posted our boxes, this sub would just be full of them! To keep this place tidy, photos of hauls (boxes and unbuilt kits) are not allowed. r/Gunpla Secret Santa posts are exempt from this rule.
- Buying/Selling: Want to sell your unwanted kits or buy someone else’s? Looking to buy some parts or pick up some scrap kits for a kitbash? Use our Monthly Commerce Thread.
- Don’t spam.: Use an album (such as Reddit's album system or Imgur) for multiple pictures, don't post them separately. Multiple posts within a short time frame from a single user will be removed.
- Quality Titles: Please title or frame your posts in a manner to encourage meaningful and healthy discussions with the community. Posts that serve to instigate a spam trend which disrupts the daily interaction of this subreddit, or post titles which include social media handles (Twitter/Instagram/etc) will be subject to removal.
- Concerning Photoshop, AI, and 3D Printing: Photoshopped works are discouraged. Build submissions should be indicative of your building ability and not overtly aided with computer generated enhancements. Clean your nub marks with sandpaper, not the heal tool.
- 3D Printed works are permitted, but only if the post includes the physical item.
- Blog, YouTube and Social Media postings: We understand that content creators like to promote their own work on as many platforms as possible. But this is a community driven sub and we expect that you also be active member if you want to promote your site / social media account.
- You can easily participate by answering other people's questions in the Q&A thread, or commenting on other posts.
- If it's not your build, post the source.: If your post qualifies for the "Not my Build" flair, you should post the source in the comments. Credit those builders you've thought worthy of posting here.
- Off Topic Posts: The following are not on topic for the subreddit and belong in another community. Don't try to skirt this rule by having a Gunpla off in the background of your photo when the main focus is on an off-topic item.
- Non-mecha such as:
- - Tanks - Planes - DBZ - Star Wars - Frame Arms Girls / Megami Device / other non-gundam related "armored girl" kits
- Or non model kits such as:
- - Action Figures - Dolls - Cosplay - Statues - LEGO - Gundam Converge - Gundam QMSV
- No Hateful Content: Political arguments in threads, especially Nazi apologism, is explicitly forbidden (including on "historical accuracy"). The use of swastika or other hate symbol decals are also explicitly forbidden. Interpretation of this rule is up to the mods.
- Violation will result in a short-term ban. Repeated violations will result in a permanent ban
- warnings will be given.
