- 🛑 No "free readings in DM".: We're 100% cool with readings as long as they happen in the comments on the sub ❣ We don't want ExploringTarot to be swamped with promotions and AI readings. We're a learning sub and here for humans who want to get better at reading cards. Readings that were generated by AI, posts that offer "free readings in DM" and comments limited to "dm'ed" will be removed.
- No paid services and self-promotion: We are not here to promote your social media. Disregarding this rule results in removing your post and likely getting your account banned.
- Interpretation help - Second opinion only
- low-effort posts. Don't just drop your cards and expect a reading. Please add your question and your own interpretation of each individual card in your post. When using a spread, name the positions. Some of us are still on desktops, so turn your image.
- Posts that don’t meet these requirements are likely to be removed.
- Feedback is appreciated!: People are hungry for meaning and guidance, but rarely acknowledge the work behind it.
- Even when it’s a “free” service, readings take effort and presence. There's always a chance of readers getting drained or feeling unappreciated, they worry about being judged and even get compassion fatigue. This is why feedback should be part of the reading. Please let the reader know what resonated with you. A "Thank you" is not feedback.
- The person who asks for an exchange needs to read first.: This shows you're serious about the trade you offer and not just seeking a free reading; this way both sides honour their part of the deal.
- Please be civil.: Divination works in many different ways and everyone has a method/technique that works for them best. There are many ways to do the same thing. All approaches are welcome, including the magickal and the secular approach. You don't have to agree with another reader's point of view, but attacking another person will result in the removal of your comment or post.
