- Aim to generate meaningful and constructive discussion that will provide info to others well after the heat of the debate is gone. Respond to the content and not the tone of writing and walk away when a discussion is no longer useful to you or anyone else.
- Asking for Shop Feedback: Please use the post flair "Shop Critique" and provide a link to your shop along side a few details like what you sell or if there's anything specific you would like people to comment on.
- If you are a new shop, please read through this [resource page](https://www.reddit.com/r/EtsyCommunity/wiki/index/tipstogetsales/) if majority of the feedback you will received is already covered in that page, your post will be removed.
- No Promotional Posts: Please refrain from using this subreddit as a source of free promotion. Promotional post will be deleted and users who continuously promote on this subreddit will be banned from this sub. Please use r/etsypromo for promotional matters.
- This also extends to asking for feedback, looking for beta tests, or anything else that is linked to Etsy/e-commerce tools, programs or services that you've personally made.
- Shop Milestones : This sub only celebrates shop milestone when you make your 10th, 50th, 100th, 500th, 1,000th, 2,000th and so on sale. When you hit one of these milestones please post about it so we can all celebrate with you.

- Privacy: Please refrain from including any personal or trackable information in your posts and comments to avoid accidentally doxxing, unnecessary conflict, or drama. This includes, but not limited to full names, phone numbers, email addresses, tracking numbers, shop names, or social media accounts that are not correlated to your own Etsy account.
- You are allowed to post screenshots, but make sure all info other then your shop name is blacked out/hidden.
- Do not spam or make attempts to farm karma: Do not consistently make posts or comments one after the other about the same thing. It may take time for people to answer your questions or comment on your post. Do not fake stories or parts of stories in attempt to gain sympathy, karma, or awards.
- Legal Advice: We are not lawyers (maybe some of us are?) so do not depend on us or trust us for legal advice. If you have a legal problem I strongly suggest reaching out to Etsy or heading over to r/legaladvice
- No "What If" Questions: If your question calls for the crafting of a counterfactual scenario to answer it, please refrain from posting it. Questions should be about your personal sales, experiences and purchases. Hypothetical questions tend to lead to never ending answers
- Most hypotheticals are one, something you have to figure out yourself. Or two, something that is unfeasible to answer
- Copyright Infringement: This is an interactive sub, if a user post their link and they have copyrighted work do not degrade them for it. They know the risk they are taking.
- That being said, we do not condone stealing other Etsy sellers work, designs, or products. There is a clear clear distinction made between using IP for fan art vs the outright stealing of other Etsy sellers’ original artwork.
- Degrading other sellers based on their shop items is frowned upon and will result in a ban.
- Contacting Etsy: This is an unofficial Etsy space. We are not affiliated with Etsy. Feel free to ask questions and ask for advice here, but if you are having any serious issues please contact Etsy directly.
